Don’t think this years Spurs team is as good as previous seasons. The Cavs will likely win the East, will probably put up a better fight than last night like they did in last years finals, but 4/5 at this stage is ridiculous!
As difficult as it is to see past the Warriors, you just need to look at last year to illustrate how ridiculous the 4/5 is. Don’t really see much value in that myself. As consistent as the Spurs have been over the last 14+ seasons I think they’re still off the pace.
I agree – Can’t see past the Cavs taking the East and raising their game when it matters. Maybe some value to be had in the Cavs @ 3’s but just for a bit of interest I’m tempted by a small wager on the Rockets @ 25s.

The afternoon game sees the in form Marco Fu take on Judd Trump. Definitely feel that you need to have Fu onside here. I considered taking him on the handicap and for the outright win but decided on him to make a century instead. Going back as far as the NI Open in November, Fu has made a century in 13 of his last 14 matches with a lot of those games being best of 7. Trump’s attacking nature along with his inconsistency should mean that Fu gets plenty of chances. Also worth noting that the of the players to take to the table so far, all have made a century.
The evening sees Robertson play Carter. I’ve already mentioned that I expect Robertson to go far in this tournament. 3 final appearances in the last 5 years for Robertson compared to 2 matches won in 9 appearances for Carter. Add in that Robertson has won the last 7 H2Hs, 6 of those by at least 2 frames including a 3-0 at the Champions League just last week. Backing Robertson seems like a no brainer – famous last words!

Incredible standard in the tournament continues – 15 centuries in 6 games so far and most importantly Fu managed to contribute with just the 3! Really like they way Denver are playing as of late. They’ve had a bit of help with the London game, and have only played 3 games since the 8th. LA on the other hand have played 5 in the same span, 6 if you count the game on the 7th. Both teams giving up a lot of points, but Denver have been a force offensively since starting Jokic at Center. Rank 4th in PPG on the season, and 1st in their last three. Clarkson and Black are set to play for LA, but they are still a young side learning under new coach Luke Walton.
