SLIM pickings with Friday’s card but there’s one game that catches my eye in Peru.

I’ll add a note of caution for anyone taking the early prices as they don’t sit right.

SPORT HUANCAYO v ACADEMIA CANTOLAO (11.45pm)

Interesting prices here and both current and recent historic form doesn’t dictate such a big odds disparity with the hosts as short as 1-33 for the win.

From what I can gather not many if any international squad duty players come from Cantolao with the majority of Peruvian stars either picked from the domestic giants Lima or Cristal with the rest dotted around the Germanic/European leagues.

Perhaps there is something peripheral I’ve missed and will check out the spartan social media sites later for any pointers.

The hosts have conceded in 23 of their last 30 successive games with the most recent being back-to-back 2-0 defeats. They are hardly a team on fire and don’t look to justify the prices.

Cantoloa have scored in 12 of their last 17 games and more tellingly in all 3 of the recent h2hs since September. Can they score here? I think they may well do at a good price.

  • Cantolao to score (5-6, bet365)
