IT was close but no cigar for me yesterday … well done all winners and Greg Browning on another belting night.
I’m swerving the Europa League games and heading deep into the Icelandic lower leagues this evening – there’s gold in them there hills.
MÍDAS v ÚLFARNIR (9.30pm)
This one really catches my eye and is a match that hails from Group B of the Icelandic 4 Deild –
I’m hoping everything the players touch turn to goals!
Midas may have had a mixed start but I reckon they’ll be too much for an Ulfarnir side propping up the Group table with just one win in 12 – that one and only win was their opener and they have gone on to draw two and lose nine of their subsequent fixtures this campaign.
The hosts have had a few batterings themselves but have managed to win their last two games albeit against SR and Hordur – the teams sitting a respective second and third bottom.
What is a common denominator is the preponderence for goals in both sides' matches – here’s a rundown of the most recent 10 league games for both:
H: 7-7-8-1-6-6-4-2-6-6. A: 3-6-0-4-5-7-4-1-6.
With the most recent H2H in June seeing Midas grab a 4-0 away victory I can’t help but think the hosts may be able to add that goalden touch to a great game:
Recommended Bet
- Goal-line 4.0 (Evens, bet365)
Unlucky with Darlington had three goals disallowed for offside better side on the night
