NOTHING doing yesterday and after the French flopped, I was a goal shy in Costa Rica with a 1-1 final scoreline. Well done Macca, Greg and all other winners.
Today sees me stuck in London on Mrs Hull’s birthday so no doubt I’ll be getting the look of death and a rolling pin on my return.
You just can’t win sometimes – got a text earlier saying “Thanks for the f*cking ironing board” which is a bit disappointing as it matches the hoover I’ve picked out for Christmas.
Weighed a few games up on the journey down this morning but keep coming back to this Brazil Serie B fixture.
PAYSANDU v AVAI (10pm)
This one interests me more for the form and history relating to the away side Avai as it does to out of luck Paysandu. The hosts have conceded in 20 of their most recent 24 games and are up against an Avai side who are in pretty sharp form.
They may not blitz too many of their opponents but they are going about their business quietly and efficiently – not only that but they are effective on the road to having netted in 10 of their own most recent games whilst away from home.
Avai won the last H2H contest 3-1 back in May but more notably, have scored a brace in 5 of the last 6 match-ups between the two sides.
I’m taking on a pair of speculative punts with lower stakes and bigger prices:
- Avai over 1.5 team goals (2-1, bet365)
- Avai -1 handicap (9-2, bet365)
