I DIDN'T think I had any tips today but ARCTIC FIRE has now drifted to 11/2 (and may well drift further) perhaps as a result of Paul Townend being on board but there are reasons for that – Ruby likes to ride the Ricci horses, Paul won on Arctic Fire at the festival etc.

Either way, 11/2 is an absolutely massive price for a horse that cannot finish out of the top 3 as far is a can see. Best rated horse in the race, course and distance winner, in fine form and has had enough of a rest since Cheltenham to come here ready to rock.

Get the waders on for this. Just one bet for me today.

• 5.30pm – Arctic Fire – 3 pts each way at 11/2 (Betfair, Paddy Power, Hills)
