IT'S nice to see a bit of jumps action on the TV today from Market Rasen and I have one that looks potentially well-handicapped in the feature race together with a nicely-priced consistent sort over at Newbury on the flat. They might be a nice pair to do an each way double with if you're feeling particularly excitable on this lovely summer weekend.
3.20 Market Rasen
Ian Williams is a wizard both with flat horses and over the jumps. He saddles POKER SCHOOL won nicely at Kempton on Boxing Day and hasn't done much since but he has had a break to freshen him up and the handicapper has dropped him a few pounds. Both the Nicholls and Henderson horses have to give him over a stone in weight which will be very tough and likewise top weight Henryville has to do the same. Poker School looks the most likely winner to me at a decent price. Push your chips all in.
3.00 Newbury
On the flat my best tip of the day is INTISAAB in the Hackwood Stakes at Newbury. He ran respectably in the July Cup where he should have been completely outclassed and this drop back to Group 3 is ideal. He was only narrowly beaten by Koropick two runs ago when he didn't have the best of runs and I expect him to reverse that form this time and go very close.
