MONDAY’S tip Asdaa stumbled coming out of the stalls which pretty much ruined his chances straight away although he did recover to finish 6th.
On Tuesday I have one that I like the look of at Haydock and a handicap debutant at Perth who I expect to run well.
4.00pm Perth
This race won’t take a whole lot of winning and the eye is drawn to SET IN STONE who makes her handicap debut over hurdles after three reasonable runs in novice hurdles. She has a good record on the flat (previously rated in the 90s, won her last flat run) and looks like she has been given a fair mark. I would expect her to improve a good bit now that she is in handicaps and she looks a fair each way bet in a pretty average field.
4.55pm Haydock
There are a few contenders here but the obvious one is ETERNAL BLUSH who carries a bit of class into the race and has bags of potential for improvement. She won her first two races before a good 2nd place last time out and she has more to come. I would make her clear favourite in this and I think the 4-1 that is currently available is very fair. I’ll be surprised if she doesn’t end up going off at a shorter price.
