I HAVE four selections today at Ayr on the biggest flat racing day of the year for the track.
It promises to be a great day with both the Silver Cup and Gold Cup run over the testing straight 6 furlongs. I have two selections in the bog race together with one in the Silver Cup and another in the listed fillies race.
2.40pm Ayr
SHOW STEALER has been quite consistent of late and I expect him to be on the premises again today. He is certainly worth a punt at double figure odds.
3.15pm Ayr
For me ORLAITH is a very solid favourite and I would maybe have her a good bit shorter than 4-1. She has improved in her last few runs and can continue to do so today.
3.50pm Ayr
I have two selections for the big race of the day, the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup, run over 6 furlongs at the famous Scottish track. Both of my selections are actually horses I have tipped very recently. My top pick is GULLIVER who I tipped last week when he came like a train to finish 3rd at the Curragh and would surely have won if the race was 20 yards longer. I'm sticking with him to do the business today.
My second selection is INTISAAB who looks another solid each way bet to me. I backed him last week at Doncaster when he finished 3rd and he remains on the same handicap mark today. He also has the added benefit of young Angus Villiers taking off a very useful 7lb as a claimer. That makes him very attractive from a handicapping perspective.
