Rizzel as he's already mentioned is away on holiday for a week so I've been asked to cover the horse racing tips in his absence.

Hopefully, I can find some profit in the upcoming week of racing.

Newcastle 2:05 – Adjuvant 6/1 EW

I've been slaughtered on here by a few and backed up by a few in the past for posting up each-way selections around 5 or 6/1.

If bookmakers are offering 6 places in a competitive race such as this I'll take advantage of it and cover my money as much as possible.

I respect that backing each way isn't everyone's cup of tea at 6/1 and most prefer to actually try and gain profit if taking each way but I like to be cautious with my money in races like this and its a personal opinion more than anything.

I really like the chances of Adjuvant in this race and it's a pity the price of 10/1 has now been cut short into 6s but even at 6s I think there's nice value there.

The only real negative I could find with Adjuvant is the fact he's unraced on the all-weather so there are question marks surrounding the surface.

Adjuvant steps up to 2m from 1m6 which I think is a great move from connections.

I think Adjuvant brings some nice form into this race.  Adjuvant last run resulted in a 2nd place finish at Newmarket behind HMS President. If you watched the Royal Ascot meeting you'll know HMS President ran a cracker next time out to finish 2nd behind the eventual O'Brien winner Okita Soushi.

Adjuvant enters this race in decent nick and has young Billy Loughnane in the saddle claiming 3lb which of course aids his chances.

Newmarket 1:15 – Pogo 11/4

I've a soft spot for this horse, on his day he's a belter but this a slightly dodgy selection from me due to him being completely out of form.

He's been racing at the highest of standards and ridden completely off the pace which isn't what this horse is about.

I'm not arguing that this horse is still in good form because the figures speak for themselves but you have to at give the horse a chance. Running a front running horse who's normally aggressive and up with the pace completely off the gallop baffles me.

This is calmer waters tomorrow and I'll be completely baffled if jockey Kieran Shoemark doesn't opt to return to front running tactics tomorrow. If he's on song and running from the front he'll be a tough nut to crack.

Good luck in tomorrow's racing!

Hello everyone been a while since I posted. Thought I’d let anyone no who wasn’t already aware Virginbet are offering money back on any loser in 13:30 at newcastle

So I’m having a dabble on Appier 8/1
And skybet doing a money back if I’m top 3 also at Newcastle in the 12:20 so I’m going magical spirit in the hopes he pushes on from the last run also 8/1

    Also having a treble on
13:50 Newmarket Aldaary top 2 place only 4/6
    3:35 Newmarket spring fever 6/5
    16:00 curragh Al riffa 6/5

I’ll be doing £10 on each so worst case scenario 20 down the drown and no madras tonight if goes well I’ll pop back with a couple of evening accums.

Just a quick note and I hope I don’t get this wrong but I hope your all in good health particularly dc if I rember correctly was having a bit of a rough time last time I posted hope life is going a little better mate all the best today everyone and let’s hope it’s a better Saturday then most.

Sticking to just 2 meetings today, Newcastle and The Curragh.
I backed most of my selections yesterday so prices will have altered on some of them.

    12.20 Raatea 3/1

Won the race last year, back to form lto.

    12.55 Brad The Brief 3/1

On ratings has plenty in hand and won fto last season so goes well fresh.

    1.30 Blow Your Horn 7/2

Was tempted to back La Hacienda from the Matthew Smith yard but BYH won with plenty in hand lto and should be able to handle the 5lb penalty

    2.05 Adjuvant 6/1 / Nathaniel Green 8/1 ew

If you listened to the owner of Golden Rules then there’s no point backing anything else as he’s going to win easy.
He did win easy lto and a 3lb rise looks lenient but how many times have we seen a horse bounce after been off the track for so long and winning first time back on the track.
Adjuvant has run 2 cracking races this season and I think the step up will bring about even more improvement.
It’s 10 years since William Haggis had a runner in the plate and sends 2 this year.
I prefer the chances of NG as I think he’s been crying out for this kind of trip.

Hope you are keeping well DC.

I haven’t been on thread much covering so never got round to messaging you.

I did have one selection at Ascot which I posted but was eventually a NR.. probably for the best given the endless 80/1 winners popping up.

Good to see you on anyway pal!

    Curragh

    1.40 No Bet

Will keep a close eye on this one. Current fav City of Troy is beautifully bred, highly regarded and his dam has had winners with her first 4 foals. But this is not an easy start running against horses with race experience so a no bet race.

2.15 no bet but Matrika should be winning this

2.50 Ice Cold in Alex 8/1 ew 4 places

In Sprints at the Curragh you want to be either drawn low or high, high comes out best overall, but I’ve gone for Alex as while he’s technically drawn in the middle in 10, it’s not the worst of draws.
He’s won 6 times in his career with 4 of them here including over C&D and he’s just 1lb higher than his last win. Fav will be tough to beat though.

    3.25 Rosscarbery 7/1 ew 3 places

Very interesting group 1. Via Sistena was so impressive lto in a group 2 beating a horse who was going for a 5 timer by 6L and won a listed race nto. All his best form has come on ground with some give and with plenty of rain yesterday he’s got his ground today. There’s also been plenty of money for him this morning.
Above the Curve was also impressive lto in france winning a group 2 and won’t mind conditions either but I just think Rosscarbery is the bet.
Has no problem staying further so if there’s enough pace in the race it will only benefit. He was 3rd in the race last year having won 4 times prior to that but should be a lot fresher this year having only had the 1 run.

    4.00
Another no bet race but another race worth watching.
Al Riffa was an evs antepost fav for the Irish 2kg before a setback and he was unable to run. He was also entered for RA but once again he was a NR but finally makes his reappearance today in a race he should win providing he’s trained on from 2-3 but I would encourage folk to keep a wide berth in actually placing money on him.
Had a rating of 114 as a 2yr old having won the group 1 National Stakes and is very well bred by Wooten Bassett out of a Galileo mare and is definitely one for the big 10f races throughout the season.

    Hi guys!

Been given two horses today one as a small fancy which is pogo for very similar views as above! The second pick which he’s more confident about is in the 9pm at Doncaster desert voice at 7/5!

Also has anyone seen the big video going about on the owner of golden rules in the 4.05 at Newcastle? The owner is saying if it’s close by towards the end it wins comfortably. He goes on to say that he’s in Ibiza but coming back early to be there when it wins. Gone from 7/1 to 4/1! Worth a look!

GL everyone! Let’s get some winners!!
