Teresa Mendoza ran a nice race at Naas in the Group race on Sunday where she finished third. Place money isn't the worst, but I thought she was travelling the best and had every chance of landing a win, but unfortunately, the 1st and 2nd stayed on better than ours.

Monday's racing is up there for the worst racing I've seen in a very long time. Monday's are notorious for having shocking race days, but today looks worse than normal. There isn't much that appeals to me, so sorry that the only selection of the day is a short-priced one.

Brighton 1:35

Odds of around EVS or slightly shorter isn't exactly the best value for RED TREASURE, but I can see why the bookies are running scared and why the punters are latching onto her. She made a nice impression on her debut at Windsor when breaking quite slow and being held up from off the pace, before staying on nicely to finish runner-up. With that experience under her belt, she should be able to sit more prominent today at a track which is better to sit close to the pace and show the ability that I think she has.

With 2yo races like this, it's always a risk as there is an unraced Richard Hannon horse, who could be anything, but based on breeding and sales price she shouldn't be amazing, and will more than likely need the experience like a lot of 2yos do. The Karl Burke runner is interesting as he sends her a long way to Brighton from his Yorkshire base, and considering she is qualified for nurseries to see her running in a Maiden suggests they think she can win this, so I'd be wary of any serious market support for her. However, if we're being serious, she has raced five times and is looking quite exposed even though she is still a juvenile.

Highland Mac was well supported on debut, but I think that was due to running in what appeared to be a weak race and the fact she runs for George Boughey who has been good with his 2yos in the last couple of years.

EVS or 10/11 isn't great odds, but she could be one to add to your football accumulators or horse accumulators if that's what you're into.

    Sweet fortune 3-50 Brighton 11-8.

Trained in North Yorkshire by Karl burke, recently broke his duck at Wolverhampton and now sent all the way down to Brighton for this 3 runner donkfest.
    Hope the journey is worthwhile.

    7.40 Southwell
Biplane (currently as big as 8/1 on betfair) ran a career best LTO, so should have a good chance in this tricky handicap.

6/1 gen with the books, so looks real value on the exchange.

      Cheers.

Won very easily. Managed to get some 10/1 but I think it drifted to 12s or bigger.

Nothing jumping off the page again.
Ballycastle Brat. Ballinrobe 6.00 might worth an ew extra @ 30s for top 8 or 100/1 for top 5 if you’re feeling brave

🇺🇸 Decent last night stateside but Crystal Cliffs beaten a nostril or it been a fine night,God only knows what happened with Grevious Dame that went off 8/15. 2x favourites double we’re both turned over going off at 2/5!!
Moira romped it at 2/1 for nice single in Queen Stakes in Canada and the other for 2/3 in the Trixie.

Kept my free bets for US of A with Monday looking poor BUT good luck folk with your bets.

    Tonight 🇺🇸

    Philadelphia-R7…Chub Wagon 11/8 ***
‘The Chubster’ so I hear his owners call him but the winning machine, money spinner be as appropriate with 14 starts and 13 wins,2 from 2 this season with running a best speed figure from a 4 month break to win very gamely then improved again in his last run in another stakes race to win by 3l.
I think I’ve tipped him every time bar his last run that I somehow missed.

Trying to find a few more for a Trixie or Yankee but my other on my tracker Moving Pictures at Monmouth-R2 is drifting and possibly vulnerable to others in an open race.

Forgot the R/fc landing too but only helped with Grevious Dame floundering. Swear it was running backwards at one point!!

Show Sliding Home at Thistledown -R6 (6/4) won well and was then claimed. ATRs Paul Q tipped it up(i wasn’t on it) last time but he’s on again as are others so taking him and Chub Wagon and Beren at Philly in race 11 for a Trixie.
GYTO Nap looks okay if you fancy a Yankee but to a race for me.

GL and well done the winners today!
