What a performance by The Whipmaster at Windsor late last night. Kind of gutted to only have suggested having 0.5pt EW on him, but that was due to a bad couple of days and though I was confident on a big run, you can't get too carried away with the Gary Moore horses as they do blow hot and cold.
Salisbury 5:10 – Spring Fever 7/4 (1pt)
A fair amount of the fillies coming into this race are arriving with a recent win, which makes life a bit more difficult when trying to syphon your way through the field, but the one I landed on is Spring Fever.
I thought she did very well to win at Redcar considering she didn't get the clearest of runs through, until quite late on. She travelled beautifully through that race, and when Rab Havlin managed to find the gap she showed a good turn of foot and ran on strongly, in the manner of a horse who appreciated the step up to 10f. That was her first start over today's trip and you can see why they went for it, especially on her previous run at Southwell where she was hampered by the runner-up who hung into the path of Spring Fever, but even with that hindrance, she managed to run on again to finish 3rd. The ground should be on the fast side of good unless the thunderstorms we're experiencing all over the UK hits Salisbury harder than the forecast suggests, and if it remains quick ground she will be handling it better than most in this race.
Spirit Of The Bay would've been my fancy in the race if she was a 3yo and didn't have to lumber around with 10st 4lbs for the weight-for-age allowances she is conceding to the younger horses. She put in a lovely performance at Haydock and the fourth horse has since come out and won. Giving weight away is fine, but against some unexposed fillies, giving over a stone away seems a tough ask. Alba Longa is the other horse coming to Salisbury on the back of a win, I'd be worried about the ground for her and the trip, as she ran over further on soft ground and she looked to be doing her best work the further she went, so the trip/conditions shouldn't help her.
Ayr 7:00 – Garden Oasis 4/1 (1pt)
On days like this, I think it's best to go for the best quality of race on offer as you often can get some freak results in Class 6 races, and that scene isn't what I like to get stuck into. My second selection for Tuesday is Garden Oasis in the best race on the card up at Ayr.
Similar to yesterday's winner, The Whipmaster, Garden Oasis has dropped down to a very tempting handicap mark and if he runs to anywhere what he is capable of, he should be bang there at the finish of this race. He is rated 75, which is 1lb higher than the last race, but he is still 2lbs lower than his last winning mark back in August and he considering he has won off 85, 82 and even off 80 over today's C&D he is a decently well-handicapped horse. His last run was a great return to form, finishing second at Pontefract with the form looking good with the third-placed horse going on to win since.
He is a front-runner, so hopefully David Allan can grab an easy lead and make it his own race at his own fractions.
Nice one with Wishmaster Rizzle.
I Completely forgot to put a few bucks on it? 🤦♂️

well done yesterday mate 👍.
Leigh now 3rd 🏉
Best season I can remember, we are usually competing with featherstone to get into super league then usually get relegated.
Good job were doing well as I’ve heard they want to make it a closed shop, no relegation after this season.
They only want teams with certain criteria, big ground, large catchment area, etc which is shit.
Gives teams in lower league like featherstone Sheffield Widnes etc no incentive to improve if it’s the chosen few only.
Wire v Wigan in the cup quarter final this weekend, should be a right tear up.
We got York so should be a first semi final in donkeys….
cheers elvis yup you are playing well this season best you have ever played this season will be a good hard game for us that this weekend you should breeze past the Yorkshire side mate
won’t be worth playing in other leagues when that happens elvis like you say nothing to aim mate

Just looking through yesterday’s card so have to say big well done with Royal Athena 👏
cheers dc
Pretty poor stuff today but I just thought the first race at Sligo was interesting.
Britzka is the current fav and on ratings is well clear of the field and therefore should be winning.
But he’s become very slow over his hurdles now and is much more at home over fences and I would expect the 2nd fav Bal De Rio to come out on top between the 2.
However at 7/1 ew Benz looks to have as good a chance on these terms as the 2 ahead of him in the market as he was 18 1/2L behind BDR lto but has a massive 18lb swing in the weights and has won on good ground before.
I just think at the odds he’s worth a modest ew play.
BOL
A few local lads have said Mark McEniff is worth taking note of when Sligo is on….I wouldn’t know much about it myself but apparently he likes to run his horses there
Certainly has a chance in the 6.33.
He’s based in the North so Sligo would be a fairly handy track for him to attend.
Shows +21 over the past 5 years at the track so also worth following.
We also get to see Facile Vega’s sister in the bumper. This will be the 2nd very well bred horse to run during the off season which is a bit unusual but this one has had a number of previous entries so has been ready to run for some time.
FYI Mystical power was given an RPR of 113, the same as Cheltenham bumper winner A Dream to Share achieved on his first run.
That was a shocker. Never went a yard

Significantly 3 of them were in 2022 and 2021 in this very race off the dame weight and the other 10 June 2020 at Wolverhampton 🏇.
So this could be the week again.
Top 4 places is SKYBET
Top 4 is 6-4 not 11-8 FFS
Pipped by 37 lengths over 1 mile 🤣
