Power Under Me put in a very tame effort at Cork. I'm not sure what the reason was, Colin got him into a nice position and he was given every chance from that position, but he clearly wasn't on a going day.
Perth 4:40 – Wasdell Dundalk 11/4 (2pt)
I've mentioned Wasdell Dundalk on a few occasions in recent weeks as I've backed horses either against him or have backed horses as a result on him beating my horses and I think today looks like another nice opportunity for him to get another win over fences and keep progressing as a chaser.
I overlooked him last time out when I tipped up Saint Arvans against him, I thought his small weight win the time before wasn't strong and he only won on the basis on carrying a low weight, but he put that doubt to bed when beating my selection in decent style at Perth. He is now 2/2 at Perth when running over 3m and this combination seems to suit him very well, he handles the slow ground that he'll get today and off a 6lb higher mark, as the bottom weight again I think he could be very tough to beat even against some good horses.
The Irish send over three runners with the most likeliest danger coming from Born Famous who beat my fancy Courtland in the Market Rasen Summer Plate. That horse has gone on a bit of a winning run this summer but has since moved from Iain Jardine's yard to Claire O'Connell's, they've booked Harry Cobden so they mean business, but I think he might be susceptible to an improver at the bottom of the weights like my fancy.
Goodwood 3:40 – Bill Silvers 20/1 (0.5pt EW PaddyPower)
It might seem daft going against My Prospero as he is by far the best horse in this race, but at a big price, Bill Silvers is a very interesting runner.
On all known from my fancy in this race, Bill Silvers, has a lot to do to bridge the gap with nearly every horse in this race but I think he is a good EW alternative and if he places then it's some solid profit in the back pocket, and with how the flat season has panned out, who knows if the win is out of the equation. Bill Silvers was strongly fancied on debut at Doncaster, that race looked strong for a novice race and it didn't go to plan for whatever reason, but he turned that wrong into a right on his next and most recent start when winning on soft in a Doncaster maiden, producing an RPR of 93. What catches the eye is that connections could've easily had one more race and got a handicap mark, but instead, they've chucked him into the deep end, into this very strong Listed race on his third start. Also, he is going up by three furlongs from his most recent start and is now trying 10f as opposed to his previous two runs over 7f. Based on his pedigree and his running style over much shorter this trip is going to suit, he also gets soft ground which is in his pedigree and he clearly has a liking to so there are positives to take away coming into this race.
I do think a place is a strong possibility as though he has a fair few pounds to improve to beat the ones towards the head of the ratings, they aren't exactly bulletproof on today's ground and I do think Bill Silvers could run a huge race.
Wee Valerie 4.55 Bellewstown Doubt it will win at 300-1 but ew extra top 8 @ 70s worth a small nibble and 125s for top 7 looks a tempting small bet too
That’s if the racing goes ahead with the big storm on the way

i wouldnt be putting anyone off Bill Silvers as the horse has ran twice beating a nice enough type lto. but he now steps up in trip and in company. he represents owners who have done plenty in the game and their main man is booked, all positive signs. the point i’d like to raise is the fact he claims a place is some decent profit, which it isnt. a 20/1 place is the same as a 6/4 winner, the problem is 11/4 is available for a top three finish in the place market. given you are getting a much better price, you can split the top 3 stake with a win only bet to cover yourself. rizzle makes it clear his selection has a bridge to gap with almost every runner so i think this is a very viable alternative.
£5 ew @ 20/1 place = £15 profit, £5ew @ 20/1 win= £120 profit
£6 place @ 11/4 = £16.50 profit, £4 win = £80 profit

Tosser that Ryan Moore?
nothing to do with the jockey, although he is 0-5 for trainer so that should’ve set off alarm bells, and the fact his regular winning jockey was on the even money fav who had reallly strong group 2 form. whilst this horse was top weight in company he isn’t exactly proven in despite 1 win in a small 4 runner affair.
hopefully you recoup your 20p in the next.
point of this post, racing is hard, with 100 things to cross examine. if you dont do it, just blame yourself and improve or go round in a circle. winners are findable, but you are a guesser, someone who posted 15p bet’s in the past and now come on to .. tip aka help others lose money. you should at least clarify that to anyone new who doesn’t know how you operate… nothing personal, but when i first discovered this site, and racing, following people blind wasted a lot of money, and because they’re actually posting, some put 2 much faith in their ability…
you should look at all of ryan moore’s bookings in the day if you fancy him, then work out which are spare rides and which may be fruity.
hayley turner getting old, dont turn out much for spare rides these days, she had 1 ride 1 winner today, boom easy money.
that was 50p
big money
just playing the game
at my stakes the money ain’t and issue
as i said millions of times it’s my pastime.
no fishing or gardening i come on here, hopefully not to annoy too many
onwards
that is the problem. you bet 50p, and you’re on here tipping to people who may be putting too much faith in what you put up, or casuals, who have absolutely no idea that you just play for fun, post for fun and bet peanuts.
ive already typed it out coherently and you didnt get it so, not sure i’ll bother again, not trying to put you off posting, but ask yourself, why are you even sharing your picks?? they’re complete guesses and you are only putting 50p on them, as you say – no harm, but my point is, new people, casuals, problem gamblers, may not be aware of this, may think of you just the same as elvis, and follow you and lose a bomb. is that their problem sure, but you are facilitating it.
i personally dont care and wouldnt want you to stop posting, but i do believe you need to be more responsible, because at 50p stakes, there is no need to tip, people can have their own guesses of no consequence. but when you are mixed in with actual die hard racing fans, a few people may lose unnecessarily on your 50p bets and if that is avoidable then i think we all need to help each other out and give as much info as possible.
best of luck
