To have back-to-back days of defeats isn't great. Mr Glass made a terrible mistake on the first circuit and that pretty much ended his chances of winning, to see him complete his race was surprising, but he has to improve on his technique if he wants to win any decent races this year.
The jumping comments can be applied to Storm Hill who also jumped like a snooker table, but this was over hurdles. He was horrible over his obstacles, and that's probably why he gassed out much quicker than I expected. He was losing a lot of ground over each hurdle and landing awkwardly or using too much energy to generate the height to get over safely.

When I can I try and watch racing even when I don't have a bet in the race. That can be difficult when working full-time, but I managed to watch HARDY FELLA on stable/hurdles debut at Worcester at the end of October. He finished 2nd in that race, finishing 14L behind the Nigel Twiston-Davies winner, who looks like a really nice prospect for this year. The winning margin might not fill you with much confidence as he was easily beaten into second, but I think there's potential improvement to come.
There is definitely some ability with this horse, whether he's good enough to land a blow on Authorised Speed, I'm not so sure, but he is definitely capable of running well in this. I think if Authorised Speed is fit and ready and jumps well he should be extremely tough to beat, so for that reason, I will be playing Hardy Fella in the Place market. At the time of writing, for him to finish in the top 3 he is priced up at around 7/4, which is great odds, but I think they're fair and is worth a 1pt bet.
He will have hopefully come on plenty for the run at Worcester, with that being his first run off 236 days. I think you can normally tell when a horse needs the run as they can often travel well but when the gas tank empties they just begin to tail off instantly, rather than responding for urges and running on under pressure. For a run off that kind of layoff, I think connections would've been thrilled with that. He is a horse who has run well in bumpers for two trainers previously. He finished 4th/8 in a Class 1 Listed bumper at Cheltenham last November when trained by Shark Hanlon. He then moved to Chris Gordon's where he won on stable debut, before finishing 3rd/8 in a Newbury bumper, which produced an RPR of 116 which is a useful standard.
Once again, after reading another very well researched and profiled piece – which was, as always, a pleasure to read – I’m confident of having a punt on an ‘Any’ Tricast on the *12:30pm, Lingfield Park* Meeting. With ‘Hardy Fella’, ‘Authorised Speed’ and ‘Broadway Boy’ being the ‘Any’ Tricast runners. If all succeed in finishing in any of the 3 places available, there’s a good combination of payouts on offer.
Wow! What an absolutely disappointing ride by Thomas Bellamy (Jockey… and i use that term loosely!!). Hardy Fella ran like a trooper, there’s no fsulting the horse’s ability, but the get up and go in the jockey got up and went before the Off!. Sorry to all that backed the selection – I’ll do my 100 lines of ‘Must do better’
Interesting beginners chase at Fairyhouse at 1.07 with the majority making their chase debut.
Fav Gerri Colombe is unbeaten so far over hurdles but hasn’t really been tested to date and missed Cheltenham due to injury.
He does though come with a high reputation and if winning today will surely be much shorter for the Brown Advisory come march (currently 25/1).
Both Bronn and Shantruese surely need further than today’s trip to show they’re best and this is Sam’s Choice’s 2nd go at a chase career having failed miserably the first time.
That brings me to Freedom To Dream and at an each way price I think he’s worth having a go on.
He was 4th in the MP (beaten 4L) behind both Banbridge and Hollow Games and those 2 have more than franked the form last weekend. He’s also bred to be better over the larger obstacles.
11/1 ew 3 places looks a fair price to me.
BOL
Back to the drawing board with that one. Needs to learn to jump a fence.
GL for the rest of the day
Gerri Colombe now best priced 14s and as low as 7s.

Well I managed one winner yesterday, but an overall loss on the day. Plenty of rain about today so just going with a few who won’t mind a bit of change in the going.

5:15 Newcastle – Absolute Queen

Thruthelookinglass – Lingfield 12.30 – 18/1
At the prices I simply could not avoid placing an each way bet on him.
He’s had two very promising spins over hurdles on soft and heavy conditions so the ground he’ll face today will hold no fears for him. He had every chance coming up to the last on his seasonal reappearance (19 days ago) before jinking and unseating his rider.
He should strip a lot fitter for that run and has some experience over hurdles whereas the majority of his main rivals are either having their first go over timber or having their first start this season, or in some cases both.
He has drifted slightly in the market and the fav, who is attracting a lot of money (good performance in the Champions Bumper) is a worthy one however connections for Thruthelookinglass are expecting a bold performance and at the odds I’m happy to have some of my hard earned on him.
Good luck all 👍

Apologies for that selection, but that ride on Hardy Fella looked bent as anything.
The jockey didn’t even try on him! He got passed and then didn’t move a muscle. Clearly nothing wrong with the horse as he continued to let him run for a few more furlongs.
Probably trying to get a lower handicap mark, but seems odd considering money arrived from 10/1 to 10/3.

Shinji 3-22 fakenham 15-8.
Roger Varian with a rare NH runner !!!
Pissed it 😆 and a wee drift to 9-4 better.
In fact it was odds on this morning, couldn’t understand the drift considering the trainer and the age weight it was getting, not complaining though 🏇
comhatch 3.50 well done all winners today
Well spotted Elvis 👏👏
🇺🇸
To many meetings, info and 2nd quessing myself and spreading my brains all over with Stateside lately so stick with the 2 from tracker and rest at the 1 meeting!
Strong Nap but shortening and see another LOT are on it (🙄) ruining the price!
Be Merry Xmas Jebus to one and all if they land!
I’d take 3/4 and the Nap + Nb I’ll not be greedy…but why not try.
Horseshoe Indy -R3…Turbo Six O’ 7/4 Nb/***
R6…Too Bad Justice Nap/***** Skybet boost or IF to short try the double with ⬇️ or the Nb?
Finger Lakes -R4…I Am The Cash Man 10/11
R5…South Africa 3/1
R6…Angelic Mission 6/4
R7…Shared Success 15/8
GL and well done the winners today! 👍 🍀
Another lot meaning (gyto) ??.
6-5 their NAP onsite, now 8-13 and not worth bothering with at that price recoba.
Since moving yards it’s been beat as favourite last 4 times but down in class.
The rest are garbage, holds 2nd favourite amicable on last run, 6 pound swing shouldn’t make up the 10 lengths, and amicable has form edge on 2 or 3 of the rest on recent head to head
If too bad justice blows this he needs to be put out to pasture 🇺🇲
Yeah of course it’s that lot…runing the price I think but probably not tbh.
Cheers for the write up buy Elvis I’ll hopefully be home for first race and it was 4/5 then 8/11 after I typed and was going to post buy what can I do?
Busy with folk ti do and people to see! 😉
That’s why I’ve recommend the double with either of the 2 ive stated OR don’t bother it’s no sweat of my sack. 😉
Your to be able to read the form nicely so grab another that looks good and have a wee dabble on a double. Probably be let down by Nap but! 😝The last few weeks been all over with results, although Naps have won or been close but still losing doh overall mostly so I’ve stuck to studying they 2 meetings and see how it goes before I read anymore
It’s now 4/7 so not for a single that’s for sure!
Well done with your winner earlier
GL rest of the night with your bets folk. 👍
Trip to the glue factory never mind pasture (like that happens to them all) if he blows it Elvis and horsey’Too Bad Justice’ won’t be invited..to what’s a lovely day out ,tour of the Glue factory is excellent! 🇺🇸 🐎 💩
