Christian Williams did win the big race yesterday at Ayr, but with his other runner in the race. Kitty's Light jumped like a snooker table, clattering many in the early stages, and lacked fluency throughout. He made up good ground turning for home, but she was impeded by the faller and by that point the winner already had a convincing lead and was never going to be caught. I'm not sure why they keep trying to hold this horse up, as he is always given far too much to do. Either way the winner was the best horse in the race, and did it very well.

A chance is taken on Joseph O'Briens lightly raced filly, TWILIGHT SPINNER. This horse has only had four runs to date, one for her current stable, with three whilst she was at David O'Meara's. She could rank to be a bit better than her current mark of 106, and I don't think this is all that strong, with conditions not likely to suit a lot of them, with the remaining horses not really proven to be good enough to win.
I'm a big fan of Logo Hunter, he can be a bit of a nutter, but this trip isn't for him. He is clearly better over slightly shorter, so this trip isn't something I think he'd like, and it could be seen to be as a pipe opener for the start of the season. Laugh A Minute won this race last year, comes into this with a fitness edge and a recent win under his belt, but if he was winning this it would be a shame as he is seen to be a handicapper who carries big weights. Mooneista is another one who might prefer 5f, she is another good sprinter, but one for another race. Which leaves me with Measure Of MAgic and Twilight Spinner, and I can't see how the former can reverse the form with the selection, who was running on strongly past Measure Of Magic at the Curragh 190 days ago. That was Twilight Spinner's first run for the yard, so there was a strong possiblity that they were still getting to know the horse and seeing what she was capable of. They've taken it easy with her, and clearly see her better as a 4yo, and this looks a nice opportunity to land a Class 1 race and decent bit of prize money.
If she is ready first time out, I think she could be hard to stop in this. Joseph has started off this flat season quite well with 3 winners already.
