It's probably the biggest day of racing for the year, so let's find some winners between us all. As always, share your selections in the chat.
Hopefully, you've all had a lovely Christmas and aren't feeling too worse for wear today. There's some mega racing on today so get yourself a brew (for those with a sore head) or a pint and get your feet up on the sofa and enjoy!
Kempton 2:30
Before the odds were released I was all over Bravemansgame for the King George. I was impressed with his return 58 days ago, and that cemented what a top-class jump horse he is. He is everything you'd like in a King George horse, he jumps well, has good speed and handles the track, but at the odds, I'd be happy enough to go against him, though it might come back to bite me.
It might seem ludicrous to go for AHOY SENOR as he seems to have fallen off a cliff, but I think he is worth a chance at his current odds of 20/1, which seem a little insulting considering he is a Grade 1 winner over hurdles and fences.
People seem to think he should go back over hurdles, and that might be a possibility if he underperforms again today, as he is undoubtedly a horse who will run extremely well in the Stayers' hurdle at Cheltenham, but I still believe he has a career over fences. His jumping hasn't been great this year like we saw on his latest start at Aintree where he blundered the first two quite badly and that left him with little to no chance of winning. So for him to cruise into the race and look like the winner, before the last fence where Noble Yeats seemed to find a rocket up it's backside, makes it a decent effort in my eyes. I think returning to a right-handed track is going to suit. We've all seen him jump out to his right on many occasions on left-handed tracks, and though it doesn't lose him much ground around the LH tracks, it's clearly an inconvenience for him. On his day he is a top-class horse, there's no denying it, and I think if Derek Fox is positive on him and gets him in a good rhythm in front (probably be taken on by Frodon) then he could run a big race.
The pace battle might put people off as Frodon only seems to know one way of winning and that's from the front, but I believe it wouldn't hinder Ahoy Senor's race. He has the bigger engine of the two and will outlast Frodon, as long as his jumping holds up. I can see why people are going for those towards the head of the market, I totally understand it, but I'd rather have a chance on the EW runner who could run a big race if returning back to form.
Wetherby 1:35 (FOUR PLACES)
The highlight race of the day at Wetherby is the Rowland Meyrick Handicap Chase, which is always a good race, and this year's renewal is no different. You have many classy horses in this, but they have to run off some big weights. I can see why the bottom weight, Into Overdrive is fancied, he was a previous tip of mine when running at Newcastle where he finished as runner-up behind L'Homme Presse. However, I've decided to side with SPORTING JOHN.
I think a lot of people are sleeping on this horse, but on his day he is a classy operator. He was tried over fences a couple of seasons ago, where he won a Grade 1 before falling at the Cheltenham Festival and then pulling up at Aintree. He then went back over hurdles showing some good form off big weights in some tough handicaps and was one of the favourites for the Pertemps Final at the festival but he didn't take his place. His seasonal return wasn't great as he finished well out the back at Wetherby in the Grade 2 won by Proschema. However, he was well backed that day, going off as 7/4F so clearly better things were expected to come from him that day and he didn't quite show it. I think that run has to be ignored and I think it's interesting they've decided to go back over fences, especially for this race which is always a competitive race.
I am convinced he is more than capable of winning off a mark of 151. I think 3m is definitely his trip on a flat track, as he stayed on extremely well when winning the Grade 1 over fences on heavy ground at Sandown. Sandown is a tough track and will find out who has the stamina and who doesn't he climbed the hill with ease that day, so it wasn't a surprise to see them go for the Pertemps at Cheltenham, though he didn't actually make the final.
Richie McLernon picks up a lot of rides on JP McManus horses, but I think he could be the ideal jockey for him. Richie is very good at switching his horses off and getting to deliver them late, I guess he could be the equivalent to the jumps Jamie Spencer. I am a big fan of his and he often goes unnoticed. At the prices I think he could surprise a few and run a good race, definitely having a place chance at the very least.
Wetherby 2:45
A horse that I'm quite sweet on today is DALYOTIN trained by Rebecca Menzies.
Once again, like most races today, this is a competitive renewal and there could be a case made for many of these, especially the horses who are towards the top of the weights. But, Dalyotin seems to be a horse who is still progressing as a chaser and could still have more to give, but most importantly he isn't carrying a ridiculously heavy weight.
I actually think today's drop in trip could suit him and bring out the improvement needed to land this. If you watch some of his previous races, most importantly the last race at Kelso, he is such a strong traveller and looks like a horse who possesses a good amount of speed on a soft surface. He came with his winning run around the field at Kelso, travelling strongly on the bridle before being outstayed. He was carrying 12st that day, so that didn't help him, but to have that cruising speed whilst carrying that weight was impressive.
Brian Hughes isn't riding him today, and to be honest, that's probably a positive. Brian is a dual champion jockey who most people like, but in recent times he's left a bitter taste in my mouth and I'm starting to prefer other riders. Nathan Moscrop is the usual rider for Rebecca and has ridden this horse to a win when landing a class 3 race at Sedgefield where he travelled beautifully again and won by 8L. If they go a good gallop, which I think they will, I think he could creep into this and be delivered very late.
My main concern is that he is a low jumper, it's great when he jumps accurately as he saves so much time in the air, but it could go wrong at any point and Wetherby's fences could catch him out. However, I think he is worth a chance and I am quite sweet about his chances.
Market Rasen 2:50 (FIVE PLACES)
For my last selection of the day, I am siding with LIGHT FLICKER in the Lincolnshire National Handicap Chase.
Ryan Potter's 10yo doesn't really fit the bill for the winner for this race, with the last 10 renewals being won by horses under the age of 10 and 9 of the 10 being won by 8yo's or younger, but I think the kind of form this horse is in he has to be in with winning this.
For most of the horses running in this, you are banking on them returning to form, which isn't always the best tactic, and I think in a race of this nature it's best to go with the form horses and you'd have to say that Light Flicker is one of those horses who are carrying the better pieces of recent form. I thought his last two runs at Wetherby and then Exeter were very good efforts and made it look like a horse who is ready to pounce off his current handicap mark at any given point.
His price has shortened since the market opened so unfortunately, we won't get as nice of a price as previously, but around 8/1 seems fair and a decent EW bet in this for a trainer who continues to impress and is good at placing his horses.
JUST A KIND REMEMBER THAT JUST BECAUSE IT IS BOXING DAY AND THERE IS A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF RACING ON, IT DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO BET ON EVERY RACE. PLAY IT SMART AND KEEP TO YOUR NORMAL BETTING ROUTINES AND SPENDING! GOOD LUCK!

Be interesting to see if Goshen stays 3 miles in the long walk.
I’m sure he will lead and will be waiting to see if and when the tank empties.
I’m on in the hope that the tank doesn’t empty.
Shouldn’t be winning a 3 miler in breeding but goes on heavy which could come into play.
Goshen 12-45 kempton 9-2…..

Mums tipple 3-00 Wolverhampton
6-4 top 3 finish decent stake.
100-30 top 2 finish smaller stake
9-1 win (in case dazzman moans at me again if it wins 😆)
Well drawn for this 6 furlong class 2 event in trap 2.
1/1 at Wolverhampton winning a class 1/listed race here in 2021, the same race won this year by today’s favourite tinker toy.
Been running consistently without winning since.
There is a horse called uncle running today as well elvis in the same silks and jokey booking could be a nice double also following a family theme could be nothing but you know how these things go some times ! I’m on it anyways
Hi Elvis
I think you could be right about the tank emptying .
I just cant see him getting the 3miles unless he is in his horse box😂 ,could be wrong .
best of luck everyone.
Mullins have a few nice ones coming up the next few days looking forward to seeing them run ,
High definition 12-00 leopardstown
9-4 betting without parmenion 🇮🇪
Interesting debutant who was competing in top flat races and was at one time favourite for the derby In 2021 and this year for Aiden O’Brien, notably finishing 3rd in the coronation cup at epsom just behind Pyledriver and hukum.
If he has schooled well could be a decent recruit to jumps.

Sammys in form at Tampa lately ! He’s won me a few quid the past few days he seems much better at Tampa than any where else !
🇦🇺 2/3 wasn’t bad!
🇬🇧 Lossiemouth an easy winner and alm over Bravesmansgame despite nearly every tipster trying to talk me off so I didn’t post and took R/fc with £10 free bet so I thought I was really on for a return but mustn’t grumble! 👌
Favs Treble… bus! Gerri Colombe 10/11 Paddy Power right now?
🇺🇸
No Tampa tonight Dazzman and I take it that’s Sammy Camacho you’re talking about mate?
I don’t see him at any meetings tonight?
Flavian Prat was on a 40% strike rate last winter at Santa Anita after a few months riding last winter so he’s one to look at tonight.
Wee Dettori on Country Grammer at Santa Anita (5/6) that should find race slightly easier than against Flightline then Defunded tonight.
Tried to get Taiba at 10/11 but it went 4/7 faster than I could think!
Just finalising Acca and singles for USA GL rest of the day! 👍

Withdraw all your money out the bank today and bet on everything !!! Chase a years worth off losses in one day haha ! Nothing of any great significance landed this year apart from a triple digit single and a 725/1 accumulator when david probert placed in every race across the card on a Saturday anything else that won they got back in the end haha it is a mugs game through and through just see it as an expensive endulgence like going out drinking every weekend and spend what you win straight away so they can’t have it back ! Apart from that go nuts haha you never know one day could change your life if your lucks In and it’s more fun than scratch cards but probably not as profitable Haa!
Todays 3 legged blind donkey bets !
There is so much to choose from maybe best picking something thAts already won for you or was a good loser last time hinting that today’s the day !

Oscar Thyme 2-10 Wetherby 5-1
Envoi Allen 2-30 Kempton 11-2
Grey Dawning 3-40 Kempton 9-4
Good luck everyone
Looking forward to seeing Parmenion in the first at Leopardstown following WM’s comments about him
He’s the pick of Paul Townsend, he’s been doing everything right at home, he jumps and gallops well. It’s going to be a tough race as all the maidens are but I think this fellow is good enough to take on whatever is in there. We are expecting a big show from this horse.”
Lossiemouth was very impressive fto and is rightly clear fav for the Triumph but keep an eye on Gala Marceau as she’s already won twice in France including at Listed level. Would only need one more run to get a mark so could be Boodles bound depending on what she gets and obviously how she runs today.
As for bets today, very easy to get carried away with so many cards on and no racing for 3 days.
So far I’ve only backed
Eldorado Allen 25/1 ew KG
Only has 3L to make up on BMG on their last run and is 3lbs better off. Surely 25s is too big ?

Waiting on Solo in the next for my Yankee
I’ll always hold my hands up when I get it wrong, and today was one of those days.
All four selections were each-way pokes, none ran particularly great. It happens, four selections on Boxing day all resulting in losers isn’t the end of the world, could’ve been worse with 10+ selections.
Hopefully, you’ve all had a better day than me, but we’ll be back tomorrow trying to get some winners.
the problem is rizzle, you are paid, you are meant to be a professional, how many races have their been today and you failed to give us anything, not that i even look at yours…. it really isn’t good enough and you come out with excuses far too often… what is the problem, too lazy to study? who knows, but someone said over 70 races today, you should hang your head in shame.
As some one who loves this page for experts tips I find it very annoying when tulsa sbed has clearly back plenty of losers. Crying about 4 losers from the house tipster and crying about everything else you possibly can. Do what I do and don’t comment because you add nothing to the page when you do.
How do I come out with excuses far too often? You’ll struggle to find a more open tipster than me.
Every time I have a bad day/run of form I say it, and I hide nowhere.
But you must be new because the last four months have all resulted in a profit, and a decent profit at that, but it’s okay, I’ve had trolls like you trying to give it large and there will be many more to come.
Actually, I take it back, you’re not new you’re just on your 20th account created. give it a rest mate.
The crown goes to king elvis ! Well done ! Gutted I never doubled those up but I’m more than happy with the money I had down as singles at those prices ! Thanks for those ! More of the same 2 Moro please haha . Well done the other winners I know there were a few ! Hats off !

Keep up the good work Rizz
Merry Christmas to all and a guid New Year
Lol ….Yeah and there’s a few Super Wilf.
A the paid as he says means nothing less he pays to read the well written information and even then?
Good old ATR I’ve Balnikhov in tracker in first at Santa Anita with Sumter but I’d actually lean towards US debut horse I’m A Gambler and F.Prat so no harm kind off but Fun Dream there with Ganadora same race so I’d probably left that race out tbh?
I knew I’d heard and backed a few before but it’s really hard in America with so many meetings and shipping to warmer climates/meetings and new owners so I TRACK THEM with dates in my notes!! 😡 🤦
Just no way I can shift all the ones in ATR tracker it take me days but I’ll need to figure something it’s getting a pain the fanny!
GL and enjoy the rest of your night folk! ✌️ 🌲 ❎
Welsh national 🏴
The big dog 7-1 ew 7 places
The two amigos 25-1 ew 7 places
SKYBET only firm I see paying 7 spots !!!!
The Big dog got top weight and needs to be in contention coming home but is in top form winning the Munster national and the troytown in his native Ireland in the last 2 months 🇮🇪
The two amigos has been racing near the top of the weights recently but today carries just 10 stone 1 with his regular 5 pound claimer driving.
Has finished 5th and 2nd in this race in the past and is over a stone lighter than his 2nd in the January 2021 running of this
