It wasn't the ideal return to racing with my only selection on the day running well below what was expected.
He ran a strange race to say the least. I don't think Luca Morgan ever looked happy on him. The horse had a strange head carriage, didn't approach his fences in convincing style, but then cruised to the lead before making a shuddering mistake at the very net fence which left him with no chance of winning. I wouldn't want to get involved with him again, as that performance was too weird to put a finger on what actually went wrong.

I prefer the jumps to the flat, but that isn't to say that I dislike the flat, but at this time of year when the jumps is in full flow as we head towards the big spring festivals I think we should be having plenty of jumps racing on, but with the recent weather that has resulted in meetings being cancelled, which has left me with one jumps meeting to have a crack at.
She's not great odds, but I struggle to see how LIMERICK LACE doesn't win. At the time of writing, she is around 10/11 with multiple bookmakers and though that is on the short side, I think it might be warranted. She has made a decent start to her life over fences, with a fifth-placed finish on chase debut in a hot race, before finishing second last time out, when looking like the most likeliest winner.
Though she probably should've won last time out, I still think it was a good effort, and by far the best piece of form in this race. She was probably a bit too keen and that might've blown her chances when arguably not putting the race to bed in the last furlong or so. Despite that, there are plenty of positives to take out of that race. She looks like a natural chaser and the way she approaches a fence is very calculated and measured, and her jumping technique looks superb. If she settles better this time around, this race should be hers to lose. I can probably see her drifting out slightly as there are a couple of Gordon Elliott horses in the race and Limerick Lace is carrying top weight, so fingers crossed that she can drift out and win at a decent price.

It's been well-publicised that Billy Loughnane is the flavour of the month, and is the new rising star climbing the apprentice ranks. It seems like everything he rides, is winning or going close, so it's no surprise to see TRIGGERED partnered up with the young rider for the first time on the back of a very good run at Kempton.
Billy is in top form, and most of that is due to him stealing a 5lb claim, but the fact that his father's horses are in flying form is a big help. Mark has probably never been in this rich vein of form, ever. He has had 11 winners from the last 31 runners in the past fortnight, so it's not a surprise to see this horse return to form last time around under an amateur rider.
There's no doubt that Triggered is well handicapped off a handicap mark of 61, which is effectively 56 with Billy's claim. He is an aging horse, but he has won off 75 and 80 in the past, and like I've already mentioned, his recent run suggests this is the right time to back him.
Two winners from my four selections earlier with Shine Honey Shine & Glittering Lights.
Not much interest in the Hong Kong races on here so I won’t post them up.

Happy Chinese New Year ~🐰
LOVE the Hong Kong racing mate!
it was a great thing in first lockdown. That along with a couple of USA courses still running were essential to my betting needs after work or I might have went full r-tard!
Used to note down horses much like I do for American but fell away a bit and yer man on ATR is very good ,landed Nap and Nb again for 2nd Sunday. Got Silvestra De Sousa and Marquand and his Mrs over there now or they were over there to go with main men Purton and Moreria.
The ex UK rider Bentley gets some good mounts.
Few weeks ago Champions Day was excellent watch. 👌
Going to have a wee look. 👍
Cheers for the feedback Recoba. I like Baby Crystal in the first race with Zac Purton up on it and he is on another in the 8:40 called Brilliant Way. Those two and the two I posted in my first post will be singles + Lucky 15

Tough day Hong Kong mate!
My Yankee had 1 winner and Tim Carrols Nap was unlucky in running. Still always good for an accumulator and definitely for a watch in work if can sneak away to watch ;)
