Saturday was a tough day, so come out of it with a win on the NAP and a place on a 22/1 horse (drifted from 14s) was a bonus. Saturday's are generally extremely hard and it looked like I was going to follow the trend but the last two selections pulled it out of the bag.
Hamilton 3:50
I'm fairly certain SPREZZATURA will be weak in the market for the opener at Hamilton. On paper you'd think this colt of Muhaarar isn't as talented as some of the others in the race, and that might be true for the future but I think he will be suited to a stiff 5f that Hamilton presents.
Hamilton is an uphill track, especially for the sprint trips, and that will make it a stamina test which Sprezzatura needs at this trip. I'm hoping they go a good pace, which is often likely with 5f 2yo's as they are green as grass and want to go as fast as they can, which is what I'm hoping for as that will set it up perfectly for my selection. Though he was making his second run at Ayr last time out, the penny didn't drop until the final furlong, but when it did drop he showed bags of ability and stayed on strongly and that is what caught my eye. He finished behind the Mick Channon horse who runs in this today, but with an extra 50m or so he would've been a length clear of him, so the early price discrepancy doesn't quite add up to me (around half the price at time of writing, which is early afternoon on Saturday).
2yo's aren't my kind of races but when I spot a bit of a value I will go for it, and he is a good EW bet in this. I'm normally a big fan of Kevin Ryan 2yo's at Hamilton, as he always unleashes a fairly smart one or two in a season at this track, but based on his sole run I didn't think Pride Of Yorkshire would see the stiff 5f out very well, even though he is bred to stay a little further. I hope the market continue to underestimate Iain Jardine's horse, as I think he could run a big race.
Hamilton 4:18
Ian Williams has gone through a rough patch in the last few weeks, but his horses have been running well in defeat, but he did manage to get 2 winners yesterday. I feel like TYPICAL WOMEN is overpriced in this and she could be primed for a big run after her run out at Haydock last time.
Her run at Haydock looked very laboured, hence why I think the run was needed. She did run on again towards the finish and based on her pedigree this step up in trip and the striff track at Hamilton should play to her strengths. I thought her run at Chelmsford late last year was very good and she won in good style, and in the style of a horse better than her current handicap mark of 74. She gets the weight for age allowance, which is huge at this time of year, so gets in this off a very low weight with David Egan making a rare trip up to the Scottish track. Definitely worth an EW play.
Hamilton 5:18
At First, I thought Rayong was the bet in this race, but as I delved deeper into it I liked the look of AVA GO JOE.
Tim Easterby is known for bringing horses on through the handicap as they get older, and this horse is no exception. He has already racked up two wins at the start of the flat turf season, and I think this race with a fast pace will set it up perfectly for Ava Go Joe who stays 5f out very well. Tim Easterby didn't start the season off very well so the fact this lad racked up some wins in that period is a big positive to take as he looks a horse at the top of his game and ready to improve again.
Saint-Cloud 3:25
French racing won't be of much interest to the most of you, especially when it doesn't include any British runners, but I think DUHAIL is going to be hard to beat in this.
Despite the fact he is now a 6yo, he is still a top quality performer and he should be able to deal with the field IF he's on top form. I thought his reappearance run by the very classy, The Revenant is very strong form. There is a strong chance that at the age of 6 he needed that run on reappearance so will have come on plenty for the run. Duhail won this race last year, so there is a strong chance that this has been a long term target for the start of his season. Saint Cloud is expecting some rain, so hopefully the ground does go soft as that will play to his strengths.
There's still no price available but if he's above EVS I will be backing him.
Rizzell
Duhail 5-4 at bet365, was 13-8 earlier.
There is a British runner in France in the 1-33, sir Bob Parker (David menuisier) travels over to take on the so far impressive agave.
Bob Parker shocked the re-opposing mirabad last month at Chantilly last month but I can’t see these troubling agave.
Maximus should come on from a recent neck 2nd in a group 3 but agave gets a 4 pound allowance which makes things harder.
Agave is a 10-1 4th favourite for the Epsom oaks, this could halve if she wins well later 🇫🇷
Thanks Elvis.
I saw David sent a few over for tomorrow and I’m a big fan of his when he does go to France, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see Bob win (similar to when he did it with Wonderful Tonight) but it’s a tough ask I think. There’s a few nice types in that race and Mirabad was closing all the time in that race, so can’t see him winning that race.
I’ve Kertez in my tracker that runs in the 12.58 so going with that Duhail and Stone Age in Ireland

Not sure if anyone watches the boxing in here but did anyone wake up for the Canelo fight? If so, what’s your opinions on the scorecards?
Personally think it’s crazy how all 3 judges gave him the first four rounds! the fact it was 115-113 to Bivol is mad, I scored it 117-111, and I thought that was fairly accurate.
I’m a big fan of Canelo, but he looked knackered at that weight against a very good Bivol. He beat Kovalev at the same weight a couple of years ago, but Kovalev was past it at that point. A drop back to super-middle looks the choice if I was him.
A good big man will always beat a good small man 😂
I was amazed the judges did their jobs properly. I assumed that if he lost they would fiddle it somehow. Well done to them.
Not sure if anyone is old enough to remember the first Lennox Lewis Evander Holyfield fight? That was an appalling fix. As was the first fight of Fury against Wilder.
I thought the first klubber Lang v rocky Balboa fight was fixed too 🥊🥊

Morning all. Captain Hornblower for me today ew extra for a top 6 finish @ 33. Should appreciate the step up in trip and wasn’t disgraced first time up. 80s for top 3 if your feeling brave.
GL with all your bets today
Ava Go Joe has nearly doubled in odds, which is surprising. Even more surprising to see his stablemate backed in, who was beaten by AVJ last time around. I wouldn’t read too much into the Jockey bookings as Duran Fentiman always rides this horse, so I think people are trying to latch on to whatever Dave Allan is riding?
Morning all
Starting my day with BLOOD EAGLE
First race
Good luck all today
Had a horse in my tracker pop up yesterday. Romeo Brown in the 14.25 Hay. Was gonna put it up here (I have before) , but it was a massive price so I thought it must be out of depth and didn’t bother posting. Didn’t even back it myself and it wins at 20/1 . ☹☹☹😰😱
Ouch Edgeman. Ye can’t put every bet up but its worse when you don’t even back it yourself!
GL today
😂
Edgeman that’s 1 you missed and didn’t back or post again. Just had a look at Bet365 tracker there. 🤦♂️
Tonight in USA, Belmont – R8 I’ve tracked Lady Rocket that was scratched last night on Kentucky Derby night so runs tonight and definitely a chance!
I’ll be back with the winner and tricast later! 😅
Did get combo tricast last night but ffs?
Yeah I saw that one it was nt even on my radar Either but remember when you posted it up last time on a Saturday yeah we are all guilty of being swayed by the odds thinking that the market must know better than you But the market is wrong day in day out in most races otherwise we would all be at home betting rather than working I’m sure the bookies know where all the smart money is going and just jiggle things about to try and hide it
Cut there ? ⬆️ Should say
* definitely a chance but out of 6 runners I’ve 4 in tracked in the same race!
Balko saint 3-10 Ludlow 11-8

Know use were all aghast with Kentucky Derby and it’s proceedings last night but back to quiet riot tonight. Few good races and I’ll stick with my horse mentioned earlier that was “scratched “ last night aka NR (🙄) probably because it got scratched.
