ROBERT FITZROY (2.30) carries top weight in a poor 1m 4f handicap at Salisbury and trainer Michael Bell means business.

The Newmarket trainer has booked Silvestre De Sousa and is fitting Robert Fitzroy with a visor. The gelding will be encountering soft ground for the first time but a repetition of his fourth to the Queen's West Newton at Doncaster at the end of last month would make him hard to beat.

STORTING (5.00) and SAY NOTHING (5.35) are carrying my each-way money at Doncaster.

Mick Channon's Storting makes his handicap bow with a big shout judged on the colt's second to Proton on soft at Carlisle. He led early in the straight only to be worn down close home, the front pair pulling clear of James Fanshawe's Sincerity.

Say Nothing is stepped up in trip by Hughie Morrison after splitting previous winners Earl Of Harrow and Highwaygrey at Haydock (good to soft). Favourite Maid In Manhattan is chasing a hat-trick and a 5lb rise for her recent nine lengths romp at Nottingham (heavy) is perfectly reasonable. However, she didn't beat anything of note that day and takes a chunk out of the betting market. That presents a tasty opportunity for each-way punters and Richard Fahey's Fantastic Ms Fox is another worth considering on the back of her gutsy Redcar victory on faster ground.

My bet today snazzy jazzy 410 sailsbury loves this going and doubts over the going for a few of the others at top of market snazzy has won 3 times over this trip including a group 3 made decent season debut and will come on fir that surely 9-4 looks worth more than a good bet £400 on nose for me

Morning All. No bet yesterday and no jumps today.

Cotubanama was due to run at Leicester last night but meeting abandoned .Between us we were going to have a bet on it.

Have just noticed in now runs at Salisbury today so connections must want a run. It has already won over 5 and 6 furlongs on heavy going so as long as it stays to 8 runners looks a decent E/W bet. Worth a look make your own minds up .

    SALISBURY

16.45. .Cotubanama. .10/1. E/W lower than that with other firms but 2 or 3 still going 10/1.

Not my own pick just seemed interesting.

Sod it i gotta stick to it i picked it last night i just think everything right today and questions against other well ahead this week no worries if lose as long as we get the winner between us and not the outsider winning!

I wouldn’t flatter yourself to be honest. It’s not how people bet.

    • Avatar of Mr Fixit
      Mr Fixit 6 years ago

Also can you put up points rather than telling us your cash stakes.
That can encourage people to bet what they can’t afford and no one wants that.

    • Avatar of Roger Fell

all the best CHARLIE, you’ve picked a ridiculously tight race where most have a sniff, no one backing against you on purpose it’s all about opinions.. i’d probably be taking the £40 loss but at least your yard is in form and the big man is on board.

    • Avatar of Roger Fell

it is absolutely pointless for contributors to use points unless they are point tracking and betting to a level stake…

the fact anyone can post any horse without any reason is much more detrimental than someone using monetary figures, charlie next time you bet £400 just state you are betting 20pts and each point is worth £20 :D

    • Avatar of Mr Fixit
      Mr Fixit 6 years ago

Points allow people to value 1pt at what they can afford – I don’t want to see anyone staking £400 then tempting someone who can’t afford it to do the same. Your advice is reckless in my opinion.

    • Avatar of Elvis Parsley
      elvis parsley 6 years ago

Personally if you feel the need to use points/stakes I would have.

      2 points standard stake.

      3 points strong tip stake.

1 point low stake/higher odds tip.

But each to their own I guess..

Yeah, class 5 to 1 in one go, must think a lot of it, beat some decent sorts here, but got 17 pounds from his Siamese twin (snazzy jazzy).

Well done our Siamese twins pom/Charlie.
    Barnsley tykes.
    Quazeehorses.
    Azz, 2 wins I think.

Ascot Tuesday, the only flat meet that comes close to Cheltenham for me.

Bookies taking bets on colour of Queens clothing.
I reckon black leather trousers, yellow sex pistols t shirt, braces, red Doc martens, and a bowler hat, 1000-1.

nicely done elvis, took a stroll down the shop for that, sadly i paired it with a couple other no hopers, no research no bet is a rule i cant stick with.

as for the queen, she hasn’t rocked Doc Martens for years because of her bunions, she will be in an aqua tracky and nike air max

Well had the worst experience with coral in my life blocked my account and voided a 700+ winning bet . After a hard time thought I was getting back to myself phoned them and they said that they got the card wrong and paid out on bets that were placed after result? Voided my bets so can safely say I will be cancelling my account and boycotting them!!

If anyone has a recommendation of a company to use where they get a free bet? Happy to change .
