Alan Thomson is sticking to the all-weather for two contrasting bets on Friday
Wolverhampton 1.30
SHOOT TO KILL (1.30) has been presented with a golden opportunity to get off the mark at Wolverhampton.
He meets a modest bunch in the five-furlong maiden and George Scott’s gelding should strip sharper for his Newcastle fourth 11 days ago.
Shoot To Kill was runner-up behind Simon Crisford’s Last Surprise in a Novice Stakes at Chelmsford City last September and that form is streets ahead of what has been achieved by his rivals. Ruby Wonder is the one to beat.
Kempton 2.45
SUMMIT REACH (2.45) was a five lengths winner at Chelmsford City in January and although he didn’t beat an awful lot there was plenty to like about his performance. If all eight runners go to post, Summit Reach rates an solid ew punt at around 5-1.
Ralph Beckett’s three-year-old should be suited by the 1m 3f trip at Kempton and is preferred to likely favourite To Nathaniel, Cedar Cage and Damage Control.
I think there’s worse bets out there than 16’s for Fiscal Rules.
Yes he’s only had the 1 run and Bolger hasn’t set the world alight since the restart, but absolutely nothing wrong with his only run when beaten a head by Wichita.
Plenty of rain over the last couple of days and some showers due tomorrow won’t do his chances any harm either.
Well done to all the winners yesterday
BOL
I tipped him up as my anti post at 50/1 let’s hope he does the business
Obviously with just the one run its a bit of a concern against some battle hardened horses.
?
A few pennies on a e/w L15
13.30 W Griggy 4/1 (CD winner with recent run should be right on)
1.15 K Expedient 10/1 (interesting jockey booking)
4.55 N King of Arms 10/1 (trainer doesn’t have many at these odds)
6.40 C Fiscal Rules 16/1 (inexperienced but form of only run franked)
Valentino Sunrise is 2/1 (2.00 W) after finishing 10th last on Wednesday. Trainer must think he is spot on after blow out and has put De Souza on board to make sure.
If that is the case then the following could be a steering job L15 LOL :
12.00 W Hot Scoop 5/4
2.00 W Valentino Sunrise 2/1
4.40 C Lough Cutra 9/4
7.45 C Fleeting 7/4
Charlatan out of Kentucky Derby so lost my ante post there
Still have fiscal rules at 50/1 1pt ew For Irish 2000
And domino darling at 16/1 for oaks
Sorry tipped her at 12/1 2pt win
Irish 2000 guineas
This looks like a weak race to me. The favourite has a very suspect string of ones next to his name. None of the ballydoyle horses look like superstars, probably why there all running. I have stamina doubts about a few of these, especially lope. Will have a go at a couple at bigger prices who get the mile.
Sinawann 12/1

Anyone used betfair exchange ‘laying’ horses?
Had much success? Debating to try it
You play against other punters if they are will to take your bet you only win what they put on in exchange for money you put on
Example you lay a favourite for 2/1 for 1k people take it up to £500 you win the 500 and your stake if that make sense.
Admiral Nelson was very impressive there
Lope Fernandez 7/2 nap curragh 6-40
Howling Wolfe 30/1 ew curragh 5-40
Anyone else from Middleham will know the whisper for qaader at newbury this evening will relish the 6 and a listed class horse there will be some miserable faces including mine if this doesnt win 3/1 looking at oddschecker is best now
Apparently a listed horse ****
