AUXERRE gave Thommo a 7-2 winner on Saturday with a dominant victory in the Lincoln Handicap at Doncaster.
He also landed a place with 7-1 Al Jellaby at Doncaster and has three tips for Sunday.
Ascot 2.45
PRAECEPS led three out at Cheltenham before fading into sixth behind heavily-backed Band Of Outlaws and he races off the same mark in the juvenile handicap hurdle at Kempton. Alan King’s gelding, formerly with Sir Mark Prescott, again ran well over course and distance in February when third in the Adonis Hurdle. If all 16 runners come under orders, Praeceps will be hard to knock out of the first four.
Ascot 3.55
HIGHWAY ONE O ONE cut out much of the running under top weight in the highly-competitive Close Brothers Novices’ Handicap Chase at Cheltenham but was beating a retreat when headed before the home bend. He will find it easier to dominate four rivals here.
Doncaster 3.45
SIR CHAUVELIN may well outrun his odds at Doncaster. Jim Goldie’s gelding is at his best on quick ground, beating Melting Dew at Glorious Goodwood and running a respectable sixth to Stradivarius in the Group 2 Lonsdale Cup at York. Goldie’s horses often run well at Town Moor and I’ll be betting Sir Chauvelin three places either on Betfair or Bet365.

540d Master Grey to win 0.5pt @ 8/1 and to place 1pt @ 13/8
210a Baddesley Prince 1pt win @ 7/2 – he did fall lto but was 6l behind 130 C3 winner prior to that, he runs off 115 in C4, also like his form line with Zoffany Bay
455d Red Bond to place 11/10 @ 0.5pt
430a Junction Fourteen win 0.5pts @ 5/1
420d Delph Crescent 0.5pt ew extra – 4 places @ 18/1 and to place 0.5pts @ 10/3
355a Caid Du Lin 0.5pts @ 9/2 – big drift suggests he wont be winning, form suggests he has a good chance, alan’s selection looks the rival on paper, but CDL has CD wins to his name and looks to prefer the ground a little more.
505a Peak to Peak w/o fav 0.5pts @ 3/1
6pts staked, +7.31pts after 7 days
remaining 1.31pts profit on SALUTI to place in 200d, 13/8 nap.
kicking myself missing the tricast in the 200, SDS and lots of mentions here for the winner, I thought Saluti had strong place claims and the 3rd was never going to be too far away having decent form lines with the fav.. a massive £450, D’OH.
nap wins, place bet wins, a NR and Caid du Lin loses by a neck, -4.56 today to leave us +5.49 through day 8.. a learning curve, will try to filter out ‘fancies’ and keep it to more scientific selections, well done winners.
moving forward, i see no signs of the SDS show slowing down, guy is like oisin murphy on ribena
Top of the ‘mornin’ campers. Good day’s racing again UK & Ireland. Lucky 63 and E/W 31 with SKY paying 5 places.

When your last 2 horses backed finish last it’s a sign to take a little break but I can’t resist a punt on MAZE RUNNER 2.20 lim.
Is the highest rated in the field and lto was only beaten 4L by Band of Outlaws with Coko Beach rated 134 a further 4L back in 3rd.
That is surely the best form on offer in this race and 5/2 with boyles looks a steal to me.
Well done all the winners yesterday
BOL
Definitely agree with Maze Runner DC, best form by far.
Going to double up with Black Tears, Gordon Elliott is very bullish about his chances.
in general, when a horse has been beaten by a trainer, and then that trainer sends a different horse to take him on, i lean towards thinking he must believe he has the measure of him and as its a very murky sport, logic can’t be too heavily relied upon, especially in Ireland it seems.
