NEWMARKET trainer William Haggas is in action at Musselburgh but he will probably stay closer to home as his potentially useful filly RAINBOW HEART (2.35) makes her second start at Kempton in the Conditions Stakes.
She made all and pulled eight lengths clear at the line on her only start at Newmarket last October and runner-up Pytilia won a Lingfield maiden for Richard Hughes last month. Nausha is the danger.
The ITV cameras are at Musselburgh, with some big prizes up for grabs. Austrian School was going to be my selection in the feature Queen's Cup but the widest draw in stall 14 has tempered enthusiasm. SIR CHAUVELIN (3.35) made no show behind classy Red Verdon on his return at Doncaster but will surely strip a lot fitter. He loves fast ground, scoring at Glorious Goodwood following an unlucky-in-running second to Dash Of Spice in the Duke Of Edinburgh Handicap at Royal Ascot. At double-digit odds, Jim Goldie's top weight is worth an each-way punt.
Austrian School ran numerous sound races in defeat last season, including a neck second to Sir Mark Prescott's Timoshenko over course and distance when trying to concede a mighty 22lb to the winner. Third horse Artarmon re-opposes but has six lengths to make up on Austrian School, an excellent third to Ghostwatch and Mekong on his final start in a Listed event at Ascot.
It's very much a case of Groundhog Day in the opener, with PORTH SWTAN (1.50) bidding to confirm recent course and distance form with trail-blazing Raselasad, third home Hayadh and fourth Three Saints Bay. Porth Swtan was given a fine stalking ride that day from stall two and he has drawn the inside berth this time. An action replay is on the cards.
Hugo Palmer sends ON THE LINE (2.25) across the border with a big shout in the Royal Mile Handicap. His blinkered gelding followed up a convincing Lingfield success with a solid second to Absolutio at Redcar. He may be better suited by this turning track. Haggas is a man to be feared when he despatches one to Scotland and Politicise is sure to prove popular. Reggae Runner has been in fine form and is another to consider.

Morning campers, how bin ya?
Cracking races again today UK/ IRISH. Great offers again available, SKYBET 1.50 Mus MBS 2/3 max bet £20 paid as cash. PP 2.40 Hay, MBS as Free Bet if Quarenta wins max bet £10. Hills paying MB 2/3 as Free Bet if jolly wins 1.50 3.00 3.35 £25 max. Lump on guys, very rare bookies give anything away cash in now.
Let’s start with 1.50 Mus Competitive opener with many chances. Porth Swtan looks the one to beat. Appeared
better than ever when scoring on his reappearance over C & D earlier this month. I like the look of Parry’s Mountain, but I am going with Lake Volta 6/1. M Johnson as been in cracking form so far this season banging in winners all over the joint. My selection, goes well fresh as form in the book . 6/1 £20 SKY 11/2 £25 Hills.
2.40 Hay, Sumkindofking 6/1 £10 PP, MB if Quarenta wins.
3.00 Mus This fiercely competitive sprint handicap, a season highlight at this venue. A Momentofmadness goes well and best form in the book, he’ll take some beating. There are many dangers abound, Saahheq and ROYAL BRAVE. There are many positives about my selections return here 18 days ago. He had a troubled run against superior opposition on unfavourable terms. He can bounce back here, and capture this attractive prize to record his biggest success so far. £25 8/1 Hills MB 2/3.
3.35 Mus This looks difficult, with M Johnson running 4. All have a decent shout, best of them Austrian School. But a chance is taken with ARTARMON, he hasn’t been seen for 190 days but goes well fresh. Previously enjoyed a tremendous progressive campaign, including 2 successes over this trip. There could be more to come and he’s already displayed his ability around here with C & D success. The booking of Paul Hanagan is also another plus. £25 14/1 Hills MB 2/3. Covering bet £10 E/W SKY 4 places.
I’m on Electric Ladyland(1.20) to hopefully get me off to a flier, its out to a better 5/4(was 10/211 last night) which I can only asume is due to the Godolphin runner but it set the juvenile course record last time out from a bad draw and is only 3lb higher so I’d expect it to win again.
Always dodgy with 2yr olds as always but I think it sets a good standard.
Like Porth Swtan like most(1.50) after that.

I need auper julius to completr a 4 and 5fold from a total 5er, being offered a combined 700 or let run for 4k.. as its the same horse i must cash one out but anyone like the horses chances??
Options are: win 0, 280, 420 or 4k. Cashout 420 instead of 1800 or 280 instead of 1250. Horse runs off same mark as 2nd lto..
Great day already Lord Bryan and Copper West both win and 2 still to come.

?nice picks mate?
are you at Haydock today bus, there is a mixed nh/flat card in a couple of weeks on a Saturday, 8 races, will be a long old afternoon.
Elvis.. No not at Haydock .. But theres an evening meeting at Bangor next Friday 26th so as always will be there.
We might look at that mixed meeting though if we can get the mini bus arranged.

Had a really good bet on that Lord Bryan took 11/2 last night as my post knew it would be bet.So that will more than pay Bangor.
I was on him last time too, so cheers for highlighting him today, late in running he went to 17/2 for a hot second and thought we were done but fair play to the horse.
Super Julius wins.
I cashed a £1 5fold out for 420.
Let a £4 4fold ride for 1093 after the fav was pulled out.
Got to be happy with that but really didnt wanna cash out, cost myself near 2k but 420 profit from a quid is a great result and as I say greed does kill so a good decison to cash one of them out albeit in hindsight the wrong one.
Cashout is there on the whole to benefit bookies or they wouldn’t offer it, lucky for you having 2 options, 1 to leave and 1 to cashout so well done on the 2 payouts.
Bookies still have some of your cash which is unfortunate though ?
I was 150 up for the day before these bets and more than happy. Ive ended up granted 1800 fewer but still up 1900 which is an absolute massive day, at first i was more annoyed but now with money in the bank im happy! If i didnt cash out the fav wouldnt have played up and been withdrawn and made me lose, wasnt letting greed win this time.
illey boy won for me last week but on papet CONTINGENCY FEE looks a stonker. 12lbs below a CD victory in september and at aroubd 2s i will have a nibble.
Drifted out to 3s on live show and gets home nicely although I have to say that Grace McEntee is a jockey I will think three times about betting on again, shows the class of true jockeys who gp hell for leather.
