Southwell 3.00
NOBLE BEHEST (3.00) has his first run at Southwell and appears to have plenty in hand if taking to the Fibresand surface.
The merit of his latest success at Wolverhampton when edging out Battle Of Marathon received a significant boost when the runner-up landed quite a hot handicap at Lingfield yesterday. Noble Behest has been put up 4lb but Robbie Walsh's 5lb claim means he is still attractively handicapped.
Southwell 2.30
LLAMBA (2.30) edged out Global Melody before Christmas and a 2lb rise is hardly draconian. David OMeara's mare has done all her recent racing at Southwell and seems to be at the top of her game.
Favourite Al Suil Eile couldn't quite reel in Private Matter last month and the front pair finished more than three lengths clear of the third.
Southwell 1.30
ASDAA (1.30) could have the race run to suit, with prolific winner Suitcase ‘N' Taxi likely to employ his customary front-running tactics.
There will be no hiding place but Asdaa ran really well when placed behind Northernpowerhouse and subsequent Lingfield winner Mohareb at Newcastle over today's seven-furlong trip.
Asdaa has a bit to find with Smokey Lane on their earlier run here over six furlongs but seems to be on the upgrade over this longer distance. He is settling in well at Mark Johnston's Middleham yard since a switch from Dermot Weld.

Been in racing Industry over 35 years placing bets taking bets and laying them off. Mind boggles to when somebody tells me I am wrong. Or tells me I am wrong with my maths. 16/1 second at 1/4 equals 4/1 winner. Free bet calculator and Free Online Bet Calculator PP both agree. Money staked £20 E/W Odds 16/1 at 1/4. Returns £100 profit £60. Equals 4/1 winner. Simple really, basic maths that. My 6-six-year old granddaughter worked it out in seconds na problem.
Long time since I went to SCHOOL, left 1980 with ‘O’ Level in MATHS. Things ain’t changed that much in 40 years have they? HOPEFULLY I HAVE CLEARED THIS UP FOR YA.

cheers jimba, make sure you take it E/W. When posted I though it would come in, gone the other way mate. Most firms paying 16/1 1/4 odds 7 runners still gives you 4/1 if second.
coop you still making the same mistakes with your maths.
16/1 2nd at 1/4 the odds returns £3 profit per £2 bet (£1 ew) so it isn’t a 4/1 winner if it places, it’s a 6/4 winner.. hopefully i’ve cleared it up for you.
