Catterick 4.45
MAID IN MANHATTAN (4.45) was narrowly denied at Nottingham last month but the mare can getting back on track at Catterick.
Still nicely treated at the foot of the weights, Maid In Manhattan should get the soft ground needed to show her best and is taken to beat course specialist Tonto's Spirit, another well at home in the mud. He has risen quite a bit in the ratings since his last course victory but is in good fettle judged on a recent battling Perth second over fences.

RAMESSES (4.15) is worth an interest in a tricky little handicap, with favourite Ollivander on a hat-trick mission after taking a claimer last time. Ramesses was given a lot to do when held up at York , running on into fifth place behind in-form Triple Distilled.
Richard Fahey's three-year-old was ridden much more prominently when scoring at Ayr previously. I Am A Dreamer ran with credit at Sandown at the weekend but flopped on the soft at York.

although never won on soft, most of his turf runs have been with soft in the desc. so he must not mind it, that being said, the bookies are at absolutely no risk shortening a 14/1 outsider down to 6s, so the move could mean absolutely nothing.
however, GIFT IN TIME is 24lbs below his opening h’cap mark. having won off 78 in jan 18, he is now rated 58.
the race is only worth 3k, and has LTO winner b52 in it and another likely type in Normal Equilibrium but he is probably worth a max of £2 just in case.
this isn’t a tip just a bit of interest, he is more likely to come 10l last than win but worth a look at £2 i reckon :D
gift in time went into 7/2 and for £2 got more than a run for our money most of the way

Isle of Wolves catches my eye, 2nd to a horse that’s gone in again, as has the third. he must have place claims at absolute worst, whilst jason watson is decent and although 1 NR, his price has basically halfed from 12s into 6s. whilst Ali Stronge has one in the race with Marquand on board, a jockey who does most of his winning.

the 8/11 overnight fav is now 6/4 although in the silks the combo does ok in with newbies, a 33/1 NR has seen starchant a close 2nd lto half to 3s, nothing amazing in form but K T Oneill is a guy who usually pops up with a winner, the horse is 23lbs below his opening h’cap mark from 1 year ago. he was out 2 days ago and connections must be thinking he is close to winning. STARCHANT 3/1

CLEGANE is in to 4/1jf from 15/2, representing a strong combo the bookies may just move him in to attract mug money, can’t tip in this lightly raced field but again will try a £2 interest bet. the cox horse company minx was 9/4 out to 4/1 and probably worth avoiding on that.

I put up caradoc when disappointing last time. he is in to 2/1f from 4s, it is interesting the stable jockey on last time is at the track, but oisin murphy is given the ride, for me he is a watch brief all day long.

DI MATTEO has drifted markedly and i won’t let that scare me off, now 11/2, i liked him at first glance and although 5/4 for top 3 is a bit short, i’d be hopeful of a return from it.

archie watson and hollie doyle have been on fire, this looks a two horse race at the odds and having won nicely last time, he is a minutely bigger fav than he was last night and even at evens, we could risk chancing he’ll go in again.
