ALEMAGNA (4.30) should relish the step up to 1m 5f in the fillies' handicap at Newbury.
David Simcock's four-year-old scored over 12 furlongs at Goodwood last summer and shaped well enough over an inadequate 1m 2f at Sandown a fortnight ago to suggest she will be in peak condition today.
At York, Godolphin’s Boccacio bids to extend his unbeaten career sequence to four in the William Hill King Charles II Stakes, a Listed contest over seven furlongs. Charlie Appleby’s colt only scrambled home in a Class 2 handicap at Newmarket 22 days ago and SYMBOLIZE (1.55) can go close at bigger odds.
Andrew Balding’s colt was having only his fourth outing when third to Molatham in the Group 3 Jersey Stakes and there should be more to come. Ventura Rebel and Royal Command are closely matched on their Commonwealth Cup form behind Golden Horde.
Any number of seasoned sprinters has solid claims in the 5f handicap but there is a nice prize to be won with ARECIBO (2.30). David O’Meara’s gelding was drawn on the wrong side at Ascot eight days ago and was noted making late headway into eighth behind Jawwaal. Arecibo, probably at his very best on a yielding surface, may be better served by one of the big autumn handicaps but there is a good chance he could pop up any time soon.
Another big field lines up for the mile handicap and STAR SHIELD (3.35) should give his backers a lively run for their money. David O’Meara’s five-year-old is ultra consistent and wasn’t disgraced at Hamilton 16 days ago when the deep ground wouldn’t have been in his favour.

sister rossetter 2.00 just the one today well done all winners yesterday
I was watching the racing at the curragh on irish tv and AOB was interviewed just before the Oaks and said Snow would go off in front.
Should have cashed out there and then as I knew her chance had gone once I heard that.
Was made the pacemaker for Ennistymon, either that or they thought she’d do a Serpentine.
Ennistymon had one too many hard races and Cayenne Pepper didn’t stay. The winner was even a shock to Ger Lyons but won it nicely.
The assessor will probably give her a ridiculous mark now of around 112-115 when that run was probably around 108-110 at best.
Anyway onto today and some very competitive racing and also some fascinating duals to be watched.

Lovely Persian King! Wasn’t for auld tracker I’d skipped betting with a slight hangover(mates b’day) so definitely pays off!
Nothing worse Oor @DC than horse getting no run and checking then finishing well when chance has gone! It’s my biggest pi$$er with racing.
Ye think jockey mate? I do…he should of seen 2 in front earlier weren’t just going to move and he was lucky 1 moved at all!
Onwards to Alemagna, glad I done Trixie now but Persian King keeps me just above water regardless.
Wonder were Persian Kings if too next…anyone?
Probably be KOd by this time but one from tracker at a big 9/1! on only slight step up in grade and won really well with nice turn of foot shown in the straight to win by 5l! Tyler Gaff(1 best jockeys)on board to again.
Saratoga-R9..SARATOGA LOVE and 1/4 for Ew purposes if ye fancy it…obviously I do!
Race 8 now 4/1
All apologies that’s Queens Embrace from my tracker in R9??
Wouldn’t put ye off the above but that’s race 8.
Hope not steered anyone wrong but then no many take me on I’d say for sure.
Sorry Super Wolf brain fart but I’ve it in my Trixie it’s just Queens Embrace is the single!
Here’s hoping both win obviously but
