Alan Thomson goes to Southwell for a brace of bets on Thursday
JAZZ HANDS (3.05) has been a consistent performer on the Fibresand surface and should again go well at Southwell.
Richard Fahey's gelding was far from disgraced when running on into third spot behind prolific winner Silverturnstogold (runs 4.05) and Jazz Hands holds one of his market rivals, Forseti, on their run here on New Year's Day. Jazz Hands is much better off at the weights and a bigger threat should be posed by favourite Rock Icon, penalised 4lb for hammering Critical Thinking (winner since) at Wolverhampton.
CONSTITUTIONAL (3.35) was hampered when poised to make his run at Newcastle last time and is probably better judged on his second to Speed Merchant over course and distance before Christmas. Karl Burke's gelding holds Holy Eleanor on a form line through Mews House. John Quinn sticks the cheek-pieces on Yukon Mission, a solid third to Hello Baileys and Winnetka at Kempton, and the top weight will be a danger if adapting to Fibresand.
