KEEPER HILL (2.55) can carry the familiar McNeill family colours to victory in the 3m 2f Pertemps Network Group Handicap Hurdle at Musselburgh.
The ten-year-old was a useful novice hurdler and has kept high rank ever since as a chaser. Keeper Hill looked a lot happier when reverting to the smaller obstacles at Market Rasen last month and his third to On The Blind Side and Lil Rockerfeller was a cracking effort. The handicapper has eased him 2lb and the southern raider is preferred to Keith Dalgleish’s Prince Kayf. His gelding beat useful Imperial Alcazar at Newcastle in November 2019 but has been off the track 400 days.
Dual course and distance winner Fiveandtwenty will be popular in the bet365 Scottish Triumph Hurdle, especially in receipt of the 4lb fillies’ allowance. HISTORIC HEART (1.55) is the most experienced four-year-old in the line-up, scoring for Nigel Hawke at Sedgefield and Wetherby before posting an excellent second to Adagio at Cheltenham in mid-December.
Paul Nicholls fields his newcomer Wise Glory, formerly a Newmarket winner for Simon and Ed Crisford, and market support would be encouraging. Carlos Felix was a smart middle-distance horse on the Flat for David Simcock and is interesting on debut for Dan Skelton. His best form has come on a sound surface.
THREEUNDERTHRUFIVE (2.25) has won his last three runs for the McNeill family and is a worthy favourite in the Scottish Stayers Novices’ Hurdle. The Golden Rebel, a dual winner in points, made a sparkling debut under Rules at Doncaster, making all to win unchallenged by 29 lengths. It is difficult to assess the merit of that performance but he could be useful. Peter Fahey’s Born Patriot chased home Gordon Elliott-trained Frontal Assault at Thurles in December.
Some really top performances today at leopardstown.
GDM in the first was impressive. I wasn’t sure with the trip but he proved me wrong.
CPS showed why he’s clear fav for the CC.
Energumene was actually a second quicker than CPS and must have a realistic chance of putting it up to Shishkin.
Honeysuckle was outstanding and must have every chance in the CH.
And what can you say about Kilcruit, he’s a monster.
Not much return with my selections, just a place for Franco De Port at 10s but very pleased with my AP Cheltenham picks apart from Saint Roi, who just looks out of his depth and of course the owner of Honeysuckle confirming she goes CH which kills a few of my multiples but still plenty to play for.
Of todays runners i have
GDM at 8/1 ew for the Ballymore
CPS at 5/1 for the CC
Kilcruit at 9/1 ew for the bumper.
Tomorrow’s card
1.10 I’ve gone in again on Dysart Diamond. I had him in a small double with Le Breuil (hound) but will take my chance again for reasons posted on yesterday’s thread. Wide open race though.
1.40 I have Quilixios at 25s for the Triumph. I won’t be backing him today but hope he can win.
2.10 Appreciate it should be winning this, but I’m not convinced by him over 2m and have been trying to look for an alternative to him for the Supreme, but the division is so poor this year I cant see anything troubling him..
I am though going to take a chance on Ballyadam at 8/1 ew.
It common knowledge that Elliotts yard were not right when the 2 met at Christmas and before that race they were jt favs for March.
I’m hoping he can get a lot closer this time.
2.40 Damalisque is put out a week after romping home last week. Hes up 12lbs for that and this is an extra 1/2f, but he won with any amount in hand and the fact he’s been put out so quickly, connections must be confident of another big run
3.10 My RSA horse Latest Exhibition takes on Monkfish for the 3rd time. Currently its 2-0 to Monkfish but I really think LE can get him over this trip providing Brian Cooper can wait and wait before he pounces at the last. The 2 previous runs he’s got to Monkfish too soon and allowed Monkfish to find more and kick on again.
3.40 The Irish Gold Cup
I listened to a podcast on Friday night with Paul Townend and he said he has something up his sleeve for riding Melon a bit differently. He’s a brilliant jumper and I’m going to have a small play on him just to see what happens.
4.10 no bet
4.40 no bet
BOL
DC going by results lately and lack of the yards huge numbers I would say Elliot yard is still under a cloud.
Yeah cant argue with that. I thought Abacadabras ran better and Saint D’Oroux did well.
I’m just looking for an alternative to Appreciate it.
I’ll be all over him when he goes fencing though
GL
Ballyadam lost a leg DC going by this morning’s price.
DC do you not think melon had a hard race lto, i think if minella indo show no ill affects from the fall lto i think he wins this easy.
🤞
todays bets
Minella indo 6/4
Appreciate it 4/7
Brandy love 11/10
Monkfish 4/6 win acc
Treacysenniscorthy 6/1 win single
All about opinions Plug. I dont see how you think Minella Indo wins easy when he’s not beaten any of todays rivals before and he’s only the 4th highest rated in the race.
No doubting his ability, he’s a good horse but at the price there’s little in the way of value to be had.
I was just listening to PT on the podcast (OTB) do you know of it? If not you can download the app and he just got me curious so went along with him. No big money down just interest stakes.
GL
No need for ew extra at leopardstown, skybet paying 7 places on some races.
1-10 global equity 22-1 for 7 places.
2-40 anything will do 40-1 for 7 places.
4-10 scoir mear 25-1 for 6 places.
I lied about ew extra.
The storyteller 3-40 leopardstown 12-1 bet365 ew extra 3 places.

Wise glory 1-55 musselburgh Scottish triumph hurdle.
Paul nicholls got this off Simon crisford on the flat, was ok, not outstanding.
No jumped in public but heard he has been schooling well.
No odds available but is entered in the triumph hurdle at Cheltenham and is 33-1.
If he goes well on Sunday this will naturally drop significantly.
It’s only 5-2, too short for a debutante really but I’m on anyway and a small wager at 33-1 for Cheltenham.
Interesting betting tonight for first and last races at Musselburgh tomorrow. First race a horse of L. Mongan backed from 10/1 down to 5/2, and in the last race a horse of D. Bourke backed down from 14/1 to 5/2!!
Huge gamble easily landed with about 2 stone in hand 😂😂
how easy was that lossie Jim 25/1 last night into 1/1
lossie jim .Well spotted with the Morgan horse. .Had to get involved when you pointed out the gamble. Big Thanks
GL
Both horses have no previous form.
Hoping to finish with a flourish on
Hembree…23.39 🇺🇸 3/1
Got to be more favourites for me tomorrow if I’d toke Honeysuckle yesterday I’d had 4/4 in my Yankee! Fancied Sarjah?? 😩
Onwards…
Oops ..
and R/Fc with Hit The Road(small stakes) and night yoll! 🤠
Would you believe I had Hit The Road in my tracker that I could have got at 5/1 but from a few races back n I was talked out of it! 😡
What a twat!!
Few $s but still!! 🤦🏾
I see that two horses I mentioned last night are even shorter this morning 5/4 and 15/8, some gambles landed if they win!!
If the first one wins I suggest the stewards ask why it’s ran like a bag of shite recently.
It would be a bad result for racing itself if it won, but good for the connections who were tipped off last night
It’s not ran since September.
Has it sprouted wings, gone on a diet, been fitted with a jet pack ?.
Stinks doesn’t Lossie Jim .
Ive backed on a promise, I will be well pissed if it comes 2nd to this steamer
Not on them myself elvis, I was actually looking around the other meetings for heavily backed horses for a Barney Curley esque gamble, but couldn’t see any.
Looks very much to me, Mullins horses at Leopardstown and Nicholls at Musselburgh and you won’t go far wrong, but as an old guy I worked with many years ago used to say “beware of the certs”!!
razzle dazzle love 1.10 ew
wide receiver 2.10 ew
pure genius 2.40 ew

3:35 Southwell – Glory of Paris
4:35 Southwell – Big Impact
4:40 Leopardstown – Bandy Love
Willie Mullins in the sporting life…
1.10 DYSART DIAMOND
Paul has chosen her from the team. David Mullins gave her a fantastic ride to win here at Christmas but the softer conditions this time won’t suit her. However, when a mare is in form and getting stronger that’s a positive. The extra two furlongs will help but the ground worries me and she got a huge hike in the weights to contend with too.
Double carpet is Willie trying to put us off as most trainers seem to do ?
Whatever WM says do the opposite !!
Hes renowned for it
As I said though its a wide open race and a big field so plenty of luck required
GL
Dysart Diamond was coming through well on the rail, but was badly hampered by the faller, eased off when chance had gone.
Mullins to have another field day another great days National hunt racing to watch 👍
He will have a field day no doubt only due to he has half the horses at the meeting question is what wins
Well yesterday’s weren’t hard to find Horses ass the 4 of them were short priced favs. It’s not so often he wins the graded races with outsiders 👍
Posts all over the place so put them in one place so I can watch them lose in chronological sequence 😁
1-10 leopardstown global equity 22-1 for 7 places.
1-25 musselburgh on a promise 4-1.
1-55 musselburgh wise glory 5-2
2-40 leopardstown anything will do 40-1 for 7 places.
3-40 leopardstown the storyteller 12-1 bet365 ew extra 3 places.
4-10 leopardstown scoir mear 25-1 for 6 places.
Yeah Mullins fir another good day for me after yesterday .
Appreciate It an Monkfish double pays 2.8/1.

Grrrrrrr global equity goes off at 9-1 from 22-1 and beat a neck.
Got ew money but those damn fine margins ☹️
Offt there’s an inquiry at Musslebourgh to explain how yer donkeys done so well??
Top spot Loosie Jim!
Can’t think it will effect punters payouts but there shouting shenanigans and that’s not an accusation to shout lightly!
Was on your 2.40 and 4.10 picks. Lovely each way double: thanks so much.
Cheers Luke.
I’m only standing in for ew thief today 😅.
The main man will I’m sure be back tomorrow.

Be interesting to see what the cash out is if the first 2 win.
Stick or twist.
Thare is A massive gamble on…
2:35 southwell- Blowing Dixie
4:25 Musslebrugh- Gallaghes cross
Bookies are restricting the amount you can stake to £10 only
Pointed out the two at Musselburgh last night, never noticed the Southwell one!!
Nice by Fiveandtwenty there. 👍
so far the Favourites are flying in so someone somewhere has had it right off and the Bookies are getting cleaned out today
Music to my ears buzzer 😁
Dark forces are at work today 🔍
Busstop I thought it be at least a decent day for favs again after yesterday but I couldn’t commit aka $hitr bag(😉) Mu Yankee had a bad start (small stakes) but I was unwilling to go eith a big stake Yankee on the favs so stuck with my doubles, trebles and 4 fold that’s served me well
Needing Monkfish for a good treble and Threeunderthtufive be Sunday gravy as I’ve a single on it too an in the 4 fold.
Pleased with Ballyadam’s run there. Better ground at Cheltenham will bring out more and I still think he has every chance come march
Outstayed again today do you think DC ?
Nice to see Elliot back amongst the graded winners.
Possibly but I still think there’s more to come and hopefully the ground will be better.
Only worry would be the hill
Yeh he travelled very well today 👍
Cheers Alan T! 👍
Mom the Monkfish MD!
not much time left
whirling dervish 4/1
They are referring to this gamble in the same breath as Barny Curley’s infamous one 🤣
50,000/1 Treble. News coming out of it could cost the bookies 10mil.
It’s been very professionally done with multiple trebles going on different bookies roughly at the same time.
Last 1 hasn’t won for 3 years with some bookies as low as 1/3 just now 😂😂
My heart bleeds for them bookies
Monkfish just too good. I can see LE going NHC now.
Minella indo 7/4 backed it again
Today is the day my friends!!
6digits win
2more race for 7digits
Glaghesss crosss
🏃💨 mentioned for Dr fox and miss l v russel horse.
Tactics didn’t work for Melon. The Storyteller ran a cracker.
Well done Elvis
Don’t think ABP has anything to worry about from that field though
Al boum photo doesn’t get the credit he deserves.
2 gold cup wins f.f.s.
Can’t see anything else at the moment you can pin your mast on to dethrone him.
Until he loses his crown stick with proven Cheltenham form.
Booooom event of sivola
Got your storyteller elvis thank you
Nice one how much you in for ?
Bang with scour mear thankyou Elvis
5k
Cheers Mr bean.
All 4 ew picks placed today thanks to skybets extra places 22-1 40-1. 12-1 25-1 😁

The bookies survive again
I would imagine the bookies are delighted for a change to be paying out on a Nicholls /Cobden winner.
Wonder what the cash out offer was on that big treble after leg 2.
And I’d love to know if he/she stuck or twisted
Betty Zane 4.40 ew
Something wierd they inject their. Anyway big profit today. No racing until Cheltenham fest!!!!
Watch big for NJ Hawke horses
The bumper plot thickens how hood does that make the Eileendover form.
As I said earlier good day for Mullins but what horse ? How many roll up did that last 1 torpedo ?.still Mullins won . The call was right a good day for mullins
Well done all the winners today good to see 👍
