The last couple of days has been abysmal, and has seen some shocking runs from the horses I've put up. Today's racing looks dire and I'm not going to force out selections for the fun of it, so the only horse I like today is a shorty, and I know that's not everyone's cup of tea, but maybe one to add to your accas (If that's what you do) or a single if he drifts out.
Hereford 1:25
To see some websites tipping up Believe Jack in this race is quite a surprise really, as surely the one they have to beat is GREAT HEART'JAC as long as he can jump a hurdle, which I'm sure Fergal O'Brien will have had him thoroughly trained over.
The selection has ran in bumpers on four occasions, winning none, but has ran some fine races in defeat in a couple of those defeats. Bumpers are not the be all and end all, they are great for giving a horse experience on a race track, and to see what kind of horse you have under the bonnet. Great Heart'Jac will probably be better when he is put up in trip, as he is a previous PTP winner, but he clearly has the speed for shorter, as you could see in his latest bumper run when he finished second at Chepstow behind what appears to be a smart horse, and he was arguably unlucky not to win. The winner looked a cracking prospect when being trained by Brian Eckley, where he won his debut bumper by 11L, which produced an RPR of 118. After that win, John Hales bought this lad for £175,000, which is a decent amount of money, and should be respected as Mr Hales knows his stuff when it comes to horses.
The ground which will more than likely be described as soft come the time of racing should not be an issue for this fella. He won his PTP on soft ground, and has a pedigree which suggests soft ground could be his ideal conditions. Also, the softer ground will play to his strength of stamina over this trip, which some others will not possess on the same kind of level.
Believe Jack makes his first run for Olly Murphy, and I do think he will be the main danger to the selection, but it would surprise me if he was good enough to win. He was bought for £26,000 after his hurdling debut second at Tipperary. The form is still yet to catch fire, with the only real form boost it has received is from the 3rd who has won twice. The winner has ran well a couple of times, but is still looking for that second win. Unlike Great Heart'Jac, he will have to prove his fitness on stable debut.

Those chariot races are weirde I have bet on them before in the bookies to kill time between proper racing it’s as bad as the dogs !
dapper man 6.00 well done all winners today
melbourne cup anyone
🇦🇺 🥇 🏆
After watching Incentivise last win in another G1 easily ive him in my tracker and I’ve took him 15/8 mate.
Not been many favourites or horses of his age win it says along with anything over 9 stone. He’s exactly 9st and has a decent draw and with only 2 Euro raiders compared to 9 last year I think he will give the fans a home bred winner.
Wee treble with..
Muswellbrook -R5…Mobster EVS
Rand wick -R4…Roots 10/11
pays over 9/1 Skybet or did an hour ago
Finger Lakes-R7,,,American Ruler(**** drifted out to a backable 10/11 for some reason I can’t see at all? Way behind time at the meeting!
Yankee after this runs to come and another single I think still looking.
Skybet boost
Won Easily American Rule but if I’d know it was so far behind time I could/would have put it in my Yankee but “mustn’t grumble !”
Yet I will I’ve no bookies with Indiana Grand and my tracker horse win at 8/11 at a canter and was available at 6/4 this morning!
Could been 2 for 2 I’ll just need to nail these…
Yankee and 2x singles…
Finger Lakes-R7…Dee Boo 7/4 (*** claimed by Steve Engelhart I read after his showing last time and he will be out in for a win)
Zia Park -R5…County Club Beauty 7/4
R7…Vanna. 11/8.
R9…Elegant Cricket 2/1(***** tracker notes- won by 3l last run and great ride by jockey. It’s same jockey, course and distance in a similar race so 2/1 looks nice)
GL if you bother and prices are on the move.
