Could anyone help explain when people say a certain amount of points they are putting on a bet what does this actually mean? Probly a stupid question but i am fairly new to betting.
Points display confidence towards a bet or the amount someone thinks you should risk.
The value of 1pt could be anything from £1 upwards – it’s different depending on your disposable income.
Usually there are 100pts in a betting bank so 1pt would be one-hundredth of what you start out with.

to win at horse racing, you need to take a strategic approach, a £20 single here, a £50 double there, it doesn’t work, you may get a couple winners, but most will get carried away, up their stakes and the gambling side of things will escalate.
you must start with a bank, it can be any amount, but to accrue a long term profit, your bet stake should typically be 1% of your bank roll, or 1 point and always remain that. so if you have £500, 1pt is £5. some times you get good things and bigger bets can be sanctioned, a double 2pt stake is common for NAPs and some even suggest betting 5pts. 5pts still leaves you with 20 bets so even if it loses, you lost 5% of your bank roll, which wont affect you adversely.

quite risky for a 9/4 shot. he won in class 4 and 5 off 98. he is now up to 112. he had one run at it over 2m5, was a 9l 3rd, the winner went in again, he was a nk behind a horse effectively off 121, that horse won a long time ago off 124 and 134, dropping as low as 116, still well above sideways. back to 3m2f today he stands a good chance but has two competitive rivals in the 3 and 7. Top weight has no recent form but won off 13lbs higher 11 months ago and I’d probably advise if you HAD to bet, to just use sideways as a ‘banker’ in some accas… such as this:

FOR WHAT ITS WORTH:
Yesterday a Kendrick owned horse won a hurdle at 25/1, that horse did have good chase form, it was ridden by claimer Max Kendrick, who must be a relation to the owner. The same owner has another out today for in form McPherson in the 510h, the horse has never run but I just noticed a market movement, it allegedly opened at 50s, I saw it at 25s, and before I could post this, it is now 16s, probably worth small ew support.
the owners have money on REGARDING RUTH in the 250h, two NRs just got taken out, one the fancied sweet adare. 10/3
the KENDRICK horse from 28s to 12s comes a 1l 2nd, look out for the green and red cross with max on board, as soon as i saw it win yesterday i kicked myself as i was aware of their capabilities.

Sorry to those who followed today the horse was slightly worked up before hand that could have cost us that finish we needed after the last.

never apologise for a tip mate..it ran a good race it was actually 1-3 at point in play the winner just found that bit extra on the run in. it ended up being a very well gambled horse and you were on the right track. gambling is about losers and winners we all know this..keep them coming
