A fairly busy Sunday but not much caught my eye. I've gone for two sprint races, one in Ireland and the other at Longchamp in France for their Guineas meeting.

Longchamp 4:05

Runner Jacket Trainer: Robert Cowell

Jockey: Hollie Doyle

Form: 4211-2

On bare form figures you'd think CLARENDON HOUSE has a fair bit to find if he wants to get competitive in this race, but I think this progressive 4yo deserves every chance to line up in this contest and to be competitive.

He is drawn in Stall 1, which is a positive as he likes to get prominent in his races, and if Hollie wants to go for a front running ride, she'll have the rail to assist her. The ground will be good come the time of racing as they are expecting no rain from Saturday to Sunday and they are expecting 20 degree heat, so the ground which was Good-To-Soft on Saturday should dry up. The drying ground won't be ideal for a lot of these, like a lot of French horses, they tend to run their best on soft/heavy ground. Clarendon House is proven on a quicker surface and I think the run on seasonal reappearance at Goodwood was a cracking effort, and if he has come on from that run then he has a chance of running a huge race in this. He produced an RPR of 109 in the Class 2 handicap at Goodwood, being beaten by Raasel by a head. I think the form of this race could work out well, and it has already produced a winner from Fine Wine (5th) who sprinted clear at York earlier this week.

There are a couple of noticeable names in this, none other than Suesa who has been tipped on this thread a couple of times. At the time of writing I have no odds available, but I'd like to think that Clarendon House will be one of the rank outsiders and if that's the case he will be a good EW bet. Suesa will more than likely be favourite, and rightly so, but the fact she can be held up in races isn't ideal and I think Clarendon House who might front run, will be tough to catch. If they decide to settle in behind the leaders, he has a good turn of foot and should be able to bridge the gap.

Naas 2:15

Runner Jacket Trainer: G M Lyons

Jockey: Colin Keane

Form: 1231-2

Logo Hunter runs in this, and he is probably my favourite sprinter based in Ireland. I won on him a couple of times last year and there's no doubt in my mind that he'll be popping up at some point during the season. However, the weight for age allowance makes the chances of GEOCENTRIC very strong. She will be carrying a full stone less than Logo Hunter in this race and at the weights and ratings she is the horse to beat.

There is a strong possibility that this free running filly will get the lead in this, and if she is uncontested on the front end, she'll could be very tough to peg back. She is lightning quick in the early stages of the race, and will more than likely have a few of these out of their comfort zones. The main concern with her and always has been is whether she can keep up the gallop and see the race out. I think the fact she finished 2nd on seasonal reappearance suggests she has improved from 2 to 3 as she was only beaten by a Group 1 horse in Romantic Proposal and had some good horses in behind like Mooneista. The quick ground should be spot on for her and though the odds aren't great at around 9/4 I think she could be a tough nut to crack.

🇫🇷 Modern Games quiet easy considering lay off .

      🇺🇸
Belmont – R6…Jerry The Nipper. 7/2 (Mighy only have backed it due to my middle name (Alvaro Jerry Juan Recoba) once upon a time but back on form lately and definitely his grade with Ortiz Jnr on board..used to think that was something once upon a time too? Not a negative at least!
      R8..,Senbei. 11/4.
( Slight drift? Could be a fine price if he can overcome the lay off and nothing says he can’t)

GL rest of day with your bets!
