Racing tips: Dubawi Warrior is the one to beat with Haggas’ impressive SR at Hamilton

Bolthole gave it a good try at Deauville but couldn't go with the favourite who had first run on him, he showed a decent turn of foot to try and challenge, but it was too late and he wasn't getting any closer to the winner.

Monday's race is busy but full of bottom-of-the-barrel level racing which isn't something I like to get too heavily involved in. William Haggas has a good SR when sending his horses to the north part of England and up to Scotland, and he has two running at Hamilton tonight, but the one I like is Dubawi Warrior.

It's been reported that this Dubawi colt has been a slow learner, hence why he's only been seen on the track a limited amount of times. He showed an improved level of form last time at Pontefract, and it was expected as he went off 5/6F. That suggests that the penny is finally starting to drop and he is beginning to show what ability he does possess.  His pedigree is top notch and he should be a Class 1 horse at some point in his career based on his pedigree, with his half-brother proving that with him being placed at Class 1 level from his 11 runs.

The level of form he showed last time out won't amount to much, but it was more about the manner in which he won and the ease he did it. This is his handicap debut and he is in a tough race for his debut but an opening mark of 80 could be low for what he could achieve and the ground should be fine for him given how well he handled the good to soft at Pontefract. William Haggas is 7/18 at Hamilton in the last five years and is 6/15 with 3yo's (40%).
