BEER WITH THE BOYS (3.45) will appreciate a slight drop in class at Ffos Las, with Scott McCullagh's 5lb claim easing the burden of top weight.

Mick Channon's gelding goes well on soft ground so conditions are fine at the Welsh track and last month's sixth to Follow Intello at Haydock isn't too shoddy, with runner-up Contrebasse winning last week.

DIOCLETIAN (4.45) isn't the easiest of rides but Oisin Murphy should get the best out of him in the 1m 6f handicap.

Andrew Balding's gelding was a close second to Overhaugh Street in the Chester mud last month, the front two drawing seven lengths clear, and had previously occupied the same spot in a 12-runner contest at Sandown.
