It was a risk going for Saint Arvans knowing the rain was coming and they watered the track at Perth, and that would've hindered his chances but he ran with great credit but ultimately bumped into a progressive chaser who was the main threat going into the race.
Presenting Yeats is a lazy horse, I mentioned that in the write up, but I didn't think he was going to be pushed along at flagfall. My word, that was a painful watch. He somehow nearly grabbed a place, running on strongly but missed out by a couple of lengths. The Emmet Mullins horse was clearly well-handicapped and the owner said on tv before the race that Emmet instructed him to have his biggest ever bet on the horse.
Kelso 4:25 – Czech Her Out 11/4 (1pt Bet365)
The in-and-out profile of Czech Her Out isn't convincing and would be enough to put people off from backing her, but I think she has to be worth a chance in this race based on the run on stable debut last time out for Lucinda Russell.
She is a very strong traveller of her races, often held up from well off the pace, but she has the cruising speed to make up the ground very quickly in the final stages of the race and I expect the same to happen in this race. She beat Dinoland, who she faces again today at 6lb worse off at the weights, but I don't think that weight swing will be enough to reverse the form. Czech Her Out won by 5L and did it quite convincingly when the pair met and it looked like my selection had the better stamina of the two so the extra distance today looks better suited for the Russell horse, especially on a more stamina-testing track which Kelso is. The form looks solid enough with the third-placed horse winning at Perth yesterday and the form of her win in August last year proves she is capable of running well off her career-high mark. She did win off a mark of 100 last August, but she beat a well-handicapped horse into 2nd, and did it better than the winning margin would suggest. She had to give two stone to the runner-up that day, and the runner-up went on to improve by 21lbs after they met.
Fast ground seems to be what she likes, which isn't a surprise given how well she travels through her race, and I'd argue she is still unexposed at this type of trip now she is with a new trainer who might be able to unlock further potential.
Kelso 6:05 – First Revolution 10/3 (1pt Bet365)
I'm hoping this race is blasted open with the two strong front runners, Fusain and Sword Of Fate setting a strong pace and taking each other on. They both like to go many lengths ahead of the field, so fingers crossed they get into a match and set it up for a closer, which in my opinion will be First Revolution.
First Revolution likes to race towards the back in his races, so he will need a pace collapse to get involved in this race, but on paper that is something which looks likely. He has been running well of recent and that has seen him win and get a very close runner-up finish behind a progressive chaser in Pittsburg, who he had to give 18lbs to at Market Rasen. The winner of that race was narrowly edged out by the well-handicapped Cartmel specialist, Tonto's Spirit last time out, so I think that reads as good form. Minella Youngy was also in that race, but on collateral form in terms of the weight differences between him and Pittsburg, First Revolution should come out on top.
Rakhine State ran at Perth yesterday and has done most of his best runs on testing ground, so the recent run plus the quicker ground is enough to put me off him. The others which I haven't mentioned don't look particularly well-handicapped.
Pierre Lapin 12/1 ew 4 places 4.55 Galway is a horse I’ve been keeping an eye on all season without backing.
He’s only won once for Ado Mcguinness since joining in July 21 and in that time has gone from a mark of 100 down to 73.
The fact that Ado persists with him he must feel there’s another win left in the locker.
Lto he was a decent 5th only beaten 1 1/4L but has been dropped another llb for that run. Ado is mob handed at Laytown but this is his only runner at Galway.
He also gets Ronan Whelan back in the saddle. The last time he was on board he was a neck 2nd in December off a mark of 88. Whelan was his regular jockey when he first arrived in the yard so has a good understanding with the horse..
He’s drawn 4 which is a good draw for Galway but he tends to dwell at the start so I’m hoping he either gets out and is prominent or can find the gaps if he does his usual.
Either way I think today might just be the day to back him but just a modest stake.
BOL
NR now but I would keep an eye out for his next run

Vega magnifico 7-15 laytown 7-4 NAP 🏇
Has the best form and this is a significant drop in class but this is run on the laytown beach if the tides out which could turn form upside down.
Stablemate arniemac is EVENS favourite but not run for 4 months

What a great ride by Jonjo O’Neill jnr to get Judicial Law back up on the line, I take it the stable must have been on the across the card double with Hungry Hill.

Cheers Spurs55 yeah good profit and Johns Rock single along with forecast in the first alloyed me to not entertain the £280 cash out ,was worth £1680!
Shortest price 4th pick was done on the line and last was nowhere but at least favourite was 3rd as it was between the 2. The 12/1 shot that won wasn’t on my radar. 🤷♂️
