Racing Tips: Counter Shy can strike at Worcester

IT was a disapointing day with my only selection coming sixth, the ride was poor as the race was run slowly with Quids In held up at the back.

The jockey was forced to try to deliver a challenge from out wide but you can't expect to pass horses that are also quickening at the finish.

October is now 4.5pts up and well done to all winners on Wednesday.

Worcester 3.55

Counter Shy stands out here after a pretty impressive debut over hurdles when he beat a decent yardstick in Banditry. The way he quickened up after the last to see off a pretty decent flat horse was eye-catching.

Counter Shy is a well-bred Galileo gelding out of a Flemensfirth Mare. He looks to have any amount of improvement in him and should be making it two from two over hurdles.

Ayr 4.40

Mixboy won well for us last time and at a very muddy Ayr can win again. Amark of 78 for the flat looks extremely low when looking at his 138 rating over fences. He proved last time he has the speed for the flat, conditions are very much in his favour and could be hard to beat.

Ayr 5.10

She's Pukka loved conditions on debut and gets the same here at Ayr. She looks to have been let in lightly at the weights as 71 seems a shade low. She won pretty easy last time and could have won by more, she does race against more experienced rivals but looks the class horse in the race.
