I haven't been active since Rizzels returned but thought I'd jump on this evening for some tips on Wednesday's horse racing card.
Fingers crossed we can land some profit!
Book Of Secrets 5/4 – Southwell 3:10
After studying Wednesday's racing the one runner that stood out the most for me was the Skelton trained Book Of Secrets.
Book Of Secrets comes with its risks and most tipsters will probably opt to avoid backing it as its been off the track since November 2021 and has to overcome a significant layoff from racing.
That being said, the Skeltons are known for having one ready to go after a layoff and there's some nice substance behind the form of Book Of Secret's previous outing, so be it from November 2021.
Book Of Secrets last contested back in November 2021 when finishing 3rd in a class 4 maiden hurdle at Leicester.
There's been multiple winners come from that particular race including the eventual winner on that day Parliament Hill who went on to win more races and progress into a decent sort, Krypton Gold ( finished 2nd ) has since gone on to be a consistent sort for connections most impressively winning a class 2 at Ascot last year. Trusty Scout ( 4th on the day ) and Cuban Cigar ( 5th on the day ) have both also gone on to win races further down the line.
The opposition that Book Of Secrets contests tomorrow is somewhat weaker in my opinion and it'll be bitterly disappointing if he's not banging on the door.
Cape Gentleman 7/1 – 1:45 Fairyhouse
I and Rizz have had a conversation on this particular horse in the past and this selection again comes with its risks but at these prices, I couldn't ignore it.
I'm hoping the change of stable can spark this one back into life as he's a horse who has clear ability having won a Grade 2 over hurdles, a grade 3 over fences and has also won on the flat last summer.
Current market leader Minella Crooner is a decent horse and on current form clearly deserves to be marked up at 8/13 but I wouldn't be getting involved at that price, he's a horse who requires a stamina test and was no match last time out for the impressive impervious who's has a frightening turn of foot.
Minella Crooner holds two entries for Cheltenham and I'd say this is to blow away any cobwebs for the big meeting ( Connections will maybe instruct to not throw the kitchen sink at him in this ) just a thought…

Nice winner in Oz earlier but wake up to NRs and abandoned meetings that have wrecked my UK bets, bar a single on Cairnzy’s Book of Secrets I’m giving it a miss and don’t fancy Fairyhouse at all so been looking to France with some decent jumps at Páu .
Day off and It’s is on Sky Racing too so it’s feet up and stay out that weather for me!

I’ve took a long shot in Philadelphia -R5 in Old Head at 12/1 Ew but only as the most likely winner and favourite Big Ambition was 4/9.
