Olly Murphy is quickly becoming a trainer I'm going to avoid. That's two horses in two days that I've back from his yard where they've not travelled through the race, jumped like rubbish and have been very disappointing. To make matters even worse, Coach Carter who finished runner-up for us the other day, won yesterday at Perth, which was a kick in the nuts to say the least.
Perth 2:40
It's nice to see the odds aren't short for SCHOOL LANE, who looks to have gone under the radar in the Highland National Handicap Chase. As we all know that when the Irish send horses over, they don't come to play, and I'm hoping this lad can go close today over the marathon trip.
He's managed to get in at the bottom of the weights, running off 9st 13lbs when the 3lb from Sam Ewing is taken away, which gives him a huge chance in this in my opinion. We know he stays this trip, shown by the fact he was once a runner-up in a Ulster National, that's over 3m 4.5f, so a little shorter than today, but he wasn't stopping that day, he was just beaten by a better horse. That run came off a weight of 9st 9lbs, so it goes to show that he can run big races in good handicaps even though he is at the bottom of the weights. He's had a productive season so far, winning twice over the fences and twice in the PTP sphere.
With 4 places on offer, I think 16/1 is a fair enough price for this lad.
Doncaster 1:40
SAISONS D'OR arrives at Doncaster in good form, and I think the drop back to 7f will give him every chance of grabbing a win. He won on his second start this year, which has seen the runner-up win since, and some good runs in behind. Last time out at Musselburgh he travelled nicely, arguably second best to the eventual winner. He stayed on well for pressure, but couldn't go with the winner, who did it nicely and was arguably well handicapped as he was extremely well fancied, going off at 5/2F. Saisons D'or is on a winning mark, so despite the fact he is high in the weights, he is more than capable of winning off his current handicap mark of 71.

Keeneland -R9…Malathat 8/11.
I’ve this on on my tracker from Breeders Cup that if primed should win but best priced 8/11 with Bet365 I’m tempted but I’m off large bets like that for lent! ;)
Reading ATRs Barry F there he has also pointed out Pipeline saying it be a shocker if beaten so EVS really does look good now but as I’ve him on n in my Trixie I’ll go a double.
Unlike the UK most trainers will have there horses good to go with workouts that can be watched by press etc and reading the information they are.
Keeneland -R9..Malathat 8/11
Aquaduct -R8…Pipeline EVS
Double pays. 2.45/1. Bet365

Interesting race this reminds me of Gosden in 2019 with his purchase of Darian at £3.5 million which he punted to USA for £1.2 and he won a few but still this is crazy cash!
Keeneland 7 (9.12pm)
Maiden Special Weight – 3 year olds and upwards – One mile and half
Aussie Pride (6) was the second most expensive purchase at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale in 2019, with Godolphin being the successful bidder at $4.1million. In training with Bill Mott, it wasn’t until late January this year that he made his debut. That came in relatively modest surroundings of Tampa Bay Downs, where he was a fair way off a strong pace early, in a turf contest over this trip, before keeping on to pass faders when finishing ½ a length 2nd. He was shipped to Gulfstream Park the following month for his next outing, also on turf, but over nine furlongs. He raced close to a tepid pace there but came up empty. He is by Curlin, out of Australian G1 winning mare Bounding, so it is no surprise that he was started off on turf but it is probably worth giving him a go on the main track. However, he is looking a bit of a disappointment so far but at least he has made it to the races, which is more than can be said of the 2019 sales topper, who has not had a run, despite her $8.2million purchase price. (Funny old game, innit?)
Be watching for intrest .
Cheers mate. Put a few quid on aussie pride there , after your write up. Won very nicely and @15/2. 👍
And your double comes in too . Boosted my bank tonight Recoba, cheers 🍻
Barry Faulkner 👍
Lol yeah NO WAY I wrote that it meant to say it was a copy and paste job if it wasn’t obvious anyway after saying I read his blog. Didn’t touch the race and had to watch the replay as I was rudely interrupted. Nice that 15/2 and it wasn’t Barry Faulkners tip in the race neither Edgeman. 👍
Glad you were on Malathat and Pipeline won nicely. 🇺🇸🐎.
