Tom Cannon gave Coolvalla arguably the best ride you'll see this jumps season, and it's only in November. How on earth he managed to get him to win is beyond me. I think he was trading at around 20/1 early into the race, as he wasn't going a yard. But he stuck to the task and won in the final furlong.
Newbury 12:45
With a lot of horses being non-runners in recent weeks it's nice to see this Novice Handicap Chase have some good prospects for this season, as on paper it looks very competitive. You have the unraced horses over fences who could be smart, you have some smart pieces of hurdles form from last year and you have some winners from chases already. I imagine there will be some winners produced from this race.
I was taken by DATSALRIGHTGINO from his Chepstow race. They decided to run him from the front and it worked miracles. If you compare the Chepstow run to the Newton Abbot race (chase debut), it was like day and night. His jumping was electric at Chepstow, he was economical over his fences and showed great speed in his jumping, which is what you need if you want to progress as a 2m chaser. His run on chase debut wasn't without promise, but to put it bluntly, he jumped like a snooker table, so to see him finish as runner-up that day was quite surprising, but that goes to show the ability he has.
He has gone up 9lbs for that win at Chepstow, which might be a tad harsh but I believe that he can overcome that and be a real threat in this race. There is a chance that he won't get an easy lead like at Chepstow, but if that's the case I hope Gavin has him handy and gets him a clear sight at his fences as the improvement he made from 1st to 2nd race over fences was crazy. Personally, I'd like to see him go from the front and put the inexperienced horses on the back foot and test their jumping. The likes of Balco Coastal, who is very short in the market, could be very good over fences and be well handicapped but with him lacking a run and experience you'd want to get them out of their comfort zone.
At the odds I think Datsalrightgino offers good value against the favourite. He has decent form with Boothill winning nicely on the weekend just past in a big prized handicap at Ascot (won at Newton Abbot). I think Straw Fan Jack could be a little overpriced at 10/1 given he is clearly a much better chaser than hurdler and probably has the best run of those who have run over fences this season. The Bottom weight, Frere D'Armes will be a danger for the Skelton's, but this is a jump in class from what he beat at Kempton.
Newbury
A lot of horses have been winning whilst carrying top weight so Paint The Dream has to be respected in this. I tipped him up on seasonal debut at Chepstow and he was quite underwhelming when also carrying top weight that day, but he ran well in the Charlie Hall at Wetherby and does run Newbury well so has to be respected. However, with him running in this it means BEAKSTOWN gets in this off a relatively low weight.
Beakstown was a winner at the Ayr spring festival for us earlier this year and is a horse who normally runs consistently in good-level races, so won't be out of his depth in this. The fact he was dropped 2lbs for his recent run in the Old Roan chase at Aintree is quite strange as the form of that race is working out very well and he only finished 3.25L behind the winner. The runner-up (Hitman) went on to win at Haydock in great style last time out, in the style of a Grade 1 horse. Ga Law was 3rd at Aintree and recently won the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham, producing an RPR of 156. Millers Bank unseated at Aintree but was a Grade 1 winner last season and made a very good return carrying a big weight in a Listed contest at Carlisle.
I think the Aintree race was much tougher than this, and for that reason, I think Beakstown could be tough to beat. He'll love the ground and the track and the odds available seem fair enough, so I make him a bet.

Avenue 8/1 Ew Godolphin horse( 🤔 ?)

Justin’s Moon? Drifting but good!! 😝
Good I say! 🤦🏽♂️
Lost his irons and even then a leg Juniper there!
Long Shot Ew play to and yes another SINGLE but I’ll give reasoning.
Ex tracker horse but only 2nd behind a close priced 2nd Favourite here which was definitely a return to a bit of form so 14/1 looks generous. Has it in him and not baby that haven’t raced over 12+ races here so as I say at a price he’s worth an Ew for me.
Aqua -R8… Vodoo Zip 14/1 Bet365
Woodbine-R7…Indy Champagne 3/1. Probably due to only racing last week in close 2nd but trainers not daft.
4 /5 possibly 6 advised singles really there ⬆️ from UK to USA and £1 trixies but you can decipher for yourself what to do with the rest in an accumulators or whatever but no ‘greeting’ about to MANY tips I know it grinds folks gears and bit of a sore point on the site BUT there’s around 160 races over 9 -11 meetings depending in USA so sift away ‘Mon frers’ I can only point 👉
Just go an accumulator for small stakes and max profit 🤷♂️
Dazzman you beautiful beast !!!!!!!@
