ALAN is napping Albert Finney at Lingfield on Friday and also has a Newcastle selection.

Lingfield 4.10

At Lingfield, ALBERT FINNEY is a bit of value to beat Johnston’s warm favourite Lord Lamington, a wide-margin winner over a longer trip at Newcastle last time.

John Gosden’s Albert Finney couldn’t cope with Johnston’s Caplin, a winner yesterday, at Wolverhampton but is weighted to beat Lord Lamington on a formline through Thunderoad.

Newcastle 7.30

THAAYER came clear of Matterhorn at Newcastle at the end of November on his first start for Rebecca Menzies since leaving Owen Burrows and an action replay is very much on the cards back at Gosforth park this evening.

His initial handicap mark of 81 looks fairly lenient when you consider Matterhorn has since reeled off five straight victories for Mark Johnston.

I appreciate database aswell. I love watching horses and I always have. Can we all just stop this muck and just bash the bookies as we’re supposed to do. We’re all sick of the bull-s that go on here… on a lighter note my girls just home so night night haha

Good morning everyone, glad I showed a little bit of discipline yesterday as the three horses I had in mind finished 1st, 4th & 3rd, and while we missed out on a winner we also avoided two losers as well. I was once told by a very shrewd associate that there is a time to make money and a time to avoid losing money. Knowing the difference is certainly a skill.

My NAP today is DENMEAD in the first race at Wetherby for the Skeltons and my NB is the John Gosden trained FOLLOW A DREAM in the last race at Lingfield.

Have a great day, looking forward to the flat racing season tomorrow.

Mr Fixit, you saying you “choose not to do anything” about the situation is not good enough for us who pay for this site.
I will not be renewing my membership in June that’s for sure.
It’s funny i didn’t see you complaining when you followed hibee’s tip chtbello at Cheltenham at 12-1. He must have won you a few hundred there as you don’t look like a £1 ew kind of man. £10/£20 ew was it?

I haven’t complained about any one person – my frustration is with the whole racing comments situation.
As I’ve said before our solution would be disable comments on the racing section but that would be unfair to some.
Your choice not to renew. I don’t understand why people can’t just put up a tip and move on.
It’s not a competition between tipsters and that’s what hibee1 and database are trying to do.
His Cheltenham tip is the only one I backed because I rarely bet on horses – hence why I thanked him for it.

Stop putting up email addresses please – your comment will be deleted and you’re leaving yourself exposed for any Tom, Dick and Harry to contact you. This is what Hibee1 tried to do before.

Hibee1/danc if you want to contact me at mrfixit@dailyrecord.co.uk and tell me what’s going on I’m happy to respond.
I can’t follow racing comments 24/7 as some people think. Football tips is where you’ll get me but I try to moderate things over here when they start to get out of hand.

Ive started shortlisting a few for the national…

Tiger roll great form atm doesnt look like getting beat as he just keeps getting better

Blaklion fell at the 1st last year but if he gets round has a great chance

Captain redbeard for a place at crazy odds 50/1

      Blacklion out of national

I’ve backed 4 for the National. I like to pick 4 golfers for the Masters with them and do cross doubles ew for small stakes.

    My national picks are

Rathvinden 10/1 (12/1 win) with boyles
    Mall Dini 20/1
    Pairofbrowneyes 25/1
    Valseur Lido 66/1

    4 golfers
    Justin Rose 12/1
    Justin Thomas 16/1
    Jordan Speith 16/1
    Tommy Fleetwood 28/1
    Again 6 places

All bets with pp and all ew 6 places. Have also backed Rathvinden to win at 12s with boyles.
I will put up write ups for all when I have time but I think Tiger Roll although a great horse is a dreadful price. He’s 9lbs higher than last year and no horse has won the race back to back since Red Rum in 1975 so the stats are also against him.

Don’t comment much but just have a positive mental attitude. If you think someone is not being nice remember it says more about THEM than you ignore it and move on👍

FWIW:630 newcastle, SULAFAAT is 9/1 from 50/1, is bottom weight and only win came at this track – 730 newcastle, LAWMAKING is 10/3 from 6/1, returning from a 180 break, the last time he raced in class 4 he won, albeit from 8lbs lower, he went on to contest class 2 and 3s, alan has tipped against him but a forecase or skinny 4/5 looks almost acceptable for a place.

    830n CANFORD BAY 13/8 win @ 1pt
    A. Brittain dynamite at Newcastle, 2nd over CD on the 1st of this month and that form looks remarkable, he was 3/1 last night.
    800n THE BULL 7/2 win @ 1pt
Everkyllachey seems to have been smashed in from 4s, my selections price has remained solid which I like, he is up 4lbs for a CD win lto and there is no reason to overlook him since the horse in 2nd then went on to win his next 3 races.

    win double at 0.25pts

posting now before i check dundalk

I am going to punt the gamble in 730 dundalk maiden, in from 8s last night he is now 7/2 and out for only his 2nd run, he drops 2f for that and is handed a 5lbs apprentice. MEDIA DEAL 7/2 0.5pts

hopefully find something for us tomorrow, bol.
