A mixed day yesterday, but it ended with us being in profit so a decent day overall. Sawpit Sienna was a well-backed winner and Sinigino won with plenty in hand and was definitely ridiculous value at EVS. The other two ran well, both finishing runner-up and will probably make a return on the thread in the future if I see the right opportunity to do so.

There could be some better-handicapped horses in the race than TEMPLEHILLS but with his chase experience and course experience I think he rates as the most likeliest winner, so the fact he is around 3/1 or slightly bigger makes him a good bet in my eyes.
He was a winning selection for me around this time last year where his jumping wasn't great (think I described him as a snooker table) but he got the job done. He jumped better at this track last time out and made a good impression to me that he is done at the game at the age of 11. Knowing full well he really likes this track makes me believe it's worth siding with him over the chase debutantes who might progress past him later on this year, but for now, then can finish behind Nigel Twiston-Davies 11yo.
He has to carry top weight, but 5lbs is taken away from Jack Savage who has got a good partnership with this horse, shown when winning at Stratford last year. That 5lb will be a big help as it means he isn't carrying a shed load more weight than the younger horses.
If the likes of Sheldon or Heltenham beat him and jump perfectly on chase debut, then that's fine and I'll admit defeat, but knowing that there could be a mistake in them as it's their first run over fences, makes me quietly confident that Templehills can win this.

Speaking of well-handicapped horses, you'll struggle to find one who is more well-handicapped than MOONLIGHTER, who runs off a ridiculously low rating of 124. This horse was running and winning off 144 in 2021, so there is definitely ability with this lad if the switch of stables has worked.
I am putting a lot of faith in the fact he has moved to the Kim Bailey stable, as if he was still at Nick Williams or Jane Williams I think I would've left him alone and would've watched this race instead, however, Kim is a cracking trainer and he seems to have his horses firing on all cylinders at the minute and for that reason, it has given me confidence that he will have turned Moonlighter's career around, and have him ready on seasonal/stable debut.
If he returns to anywhere near the level we've previously seen him at, he'd destroy this field, so the fact that he is 20lbs lower than his last win makes him worth a chance.
Recoba u r a god dam diamond. Nap wins I just made 500 off it. Good man

No notification again about a tracked horse Stateside and it wins at 3/1 (Backatya ) and I do try but skimming threw every race with about 10 meetings just to see if I’ve a wee set of Bye – knock – you- lars beside a horse is like watching someone watching paint dry!
You would have thought Templehills was running in a sprint race rather than in a 3 mile race the jockey Jack Tudor wouldn’t be back on it if it was mine I’m afraid poor riding or poor instructions
