Another good day on the thread, yesterday, with the sole selection winning after a very good ride by Brian Hughes. The Unit was available at 6/1 at some points during the day, so hopefully some of you got that price.

Kempton 2:55

This is a really interesting race, as it's got a mixture of quality horses, mixed with a few unknown quantities. Elixir De Nutz brings the quality into this, being a previous Grade 1 winner over hurdles during his novice days, he could still be chucked in off his current mark of 135. However, I am reverting back to a horse I have previously tipped up on the page, ACROSS THE LINE gets my vote in this contest.

This could be my heart ruling more than my head, but I still believe this horse is better than his current handicap mark of 123. The manner in which he broke my heart when he beat my selection at Southwell back in November, suggested to me that this horse is decent when on a going day, and a mark in the low 120s is simply too low. The form of that race at Southwell has started to work out well, with the 2nd running well in defeat and the 3rd and 4th both winning since. If you have seen that race from Southwell, it would give you the impression today's trip will bring out further improvement, which is what I am also hoping for. He seems to get going far too late over 2m, and finishes with a rattle, which happened again in his most recent start at Wetherby, where if he had a couple more furlongs, I think he could've won. Today he gets those extra furlongs, and when you mix that with a good gallop, which looks quite likely with a couple of front runners, it could set it up perfectly for the selection.

Elixir De Nutz is the one to beat I believe, but I'm not convinced his form is all that great. I think we'll know more about him after tomorrow's race in terms of where he is at in his career. Paddy's Motorbike made a good chasing debut, winning by 11L, but the form of that isn't strong in my opinion. The runner-up doesn't look anything special, and even though the 3rd (Cenotice) has ran well in his previous 2/3 runs, he didn't really turn up in that race against Paddys Motorbike, so it's not trustworthy. As for Fred, I'm not sure about what to think about him. He was decent over hurdles, is still a young horse, but didn't show much on his chase debut, in what was a a tough race. He could be well handicapped if he bounces back to form.

Interesting to see Dinny Lacey travel over to Warwick for the 3.15 tomorrow and even more interesting that Robbie Power also travels for just the one ride.
Surely he’s not just going for the day out.
    I’ve taken 8/1 ew 4 places.

We will also get some substance to the formlines of both Constitution Hill and Jonbon curtsey of the Betfair Hurdle tomorrow as many in the line up ran against both.
Soaring Glory won it last year but carries a stone more, however I still give him a squeak and will certainly be thereabouts.
Tritonic is held by SG having beaten him comfortably when they met.
Knappers Hill looks well h’capped but the Yard form needs to turn and quickly.
Broomfield Burg doesn’t seem to have the fight required for such a race.
Jetoile was beaten 12L by CH and runs off 133 today. If he were to win here surely CH would look like a good thing for the Supreme, however I’m going to bypass him and go with I Like to Move It @ 10/1 ew.
Has a bit to find with Knappers Hill but with the ground drying out and no rain forecast I think he will relish that and can go close.

      Well done the winners today!

1 winner above and 3/4 in my un posted Yankee last night so that’s about as much use as tit$ on fish!
Double posted let down by 4/7 fav but went with other that landed and few other nice wee singles at decent prices watching Sky Racing. Hard to post close to off but I may try.

Be same tonight, over to ‘Stateside live’ in between football.

Yankee and 3x singles (ones small stake) None from me as 2 in my notes are well out there depth so these I’m in agreement with.

      Aquaduct -R5…Cross Island . 6/1(* £2.50)
      R7…Mister Larry 15/8 *
      Gulfstream-R6… Klugman…6/5
