THE combined pools of this weekend’s Scoop6 are set to crack the £4million barrier and it’s 4-6 the bet will be won according to Betfred – 5-4 no.
Saturday’s line-up features 94 runners across six competitive handicaps with the shortest-priced jolly likely to be Gabrial’s Kaka in the fourth leg.
A whopping £1,585,098 – the sixth highest in the bet’s history – was invested into the totescoop6 pools last Saturday and the bet’s organisers totepool are confident the figure will increase significantly on Saturday.
Totepool spokesman Andrew Griffiths said: “We’ve set Scoop6 punters a tough puzzle to solve but that won’t stop the money pouring in. We expect turnover will be up considerably on last weekend meaning it’s odds on we’ll find a winner.”

Meanwhile, four small-staking players who landed life-changing sums on the totescoop6 have given their verdicts on this week’s bumper fund.
Tony Wonnacott, from Devon, who won £310,408 on the Scoop6 on Bet365 Gold Cup Day in 2009, is hoping lightning strikes twice as his beloved Exeter have a home game against Scunthorpe and he’ll be going the match after placing his Scoop6.
Tony said: ‘It is still a fantastic bet and I’ll be putting in meticulous form study this evening – we’re aiming to put on a perm of about £1000 between the lads I go to the match with.
‘If Exeter had been playing Morecambe I’d really steam in as that was the game on the day I won but it’s funny how it is the big race at Sandown once again in the final leg.’
Geraldine Hughes, who won £154,000 including a £100,000 bonus for placing her £2 line in a Betfred shop in her hometown of Hoylake, Wirral, Merseyside, said: ‘I’ll be making my picks this evening … it is tough and it’s only been won once since I got my bumper cheque.
‘It hasn’t stopped me trying – I still love Elvis and believe horses named after the King can land me another fortune. I was close with Balthazar King in the Grand National. The Scoop6 is the best bet ever – I’ve now bought a racehorse Laffan with David O’Meara and it will be out in the next few weeks.’
Aggie Haddock, of Northwich, Cheshire, who won £688,620 with a £2 Scoop6 win and bonus fund in February 2007, now plays with her online syndicate www.scoop6superclub.com as well as having her own £2 lines.
Aggie said: ‘It’s the best bet in Britain and probably the world – winning it has helped me get to the Melbourne Cup a couple of times.
‘I’d like to win it on my own again, but I’d be happy to win it with other people and we could be having thousands of lines with our online syndicate. It’s just great fun and it only costs a couple of quid.’
York postie Dave Farrow, 32, who landed £121,599 with his Magnificent Seven syndicate back in October 2012, said: ‘We missed out on the bonus that time but this week we’ll probably go up from our normal £16 beet to a £32 one with two picks in the first race.
‘We’re still delivering the mail but it would be first class to land this bumper Scoop6 – everyone who has ever played the bet will be trying.’
WOW
Good luck to all the loyal Hibs supporters who took advantage of the free Scoop 6 ticket given by the club when they renewed their season tickets for next season. A Hibs spokesman added ‘We wish both of them the best of luck’ :)
Mornin all. Not been doing the horses very long but took johnb tips a few weeks ago and ended up with £90 from a £1 stake. How do I place a qualifying bet for the scoop 6?
