MILESEY absolutely smashed it on Monday with a magnificent Lucky 15.
The fourfold paid 285-1 and loads of you were on it.
So how does he follow that – hopefully with another winner. We all know back-to-back Lucky 15s are well nigh impossible but you never know.

NEWCASTLE PLACEPOT
———————————
14:30 – There are a limited number of runners to kick off the first leg of today’s Placepot and the number is equalled by the lack of quality. With half the field already looking rather exposed, Assembly should be the answer. William Haggas has a 47% strike rate with his 3 year olds at Gosforth Park in recent seasons, and whilst Assembly is unlikely to be one of the handler’s leading lights, the drop to 5f looks sure to suit. With his forceful tactics he utilised at Beverley last time this should be well within his compass.
15:00 – Newcastle has a habit of playing host to these tricky handicaps, none more so than leg two and we will take two against the field to aid our cause, beginning with Lord Franklin. Eric Alston’s charge hasn’t been seen at his best in two starts this term yet that is no cause for alarm. Having needed his first run after a break, then encountering unsuitable ground at Warwick last time, today’s trip/ground seem to be his optimum conditions and the son of Iceman should be able to make his mark. He is joined by Dream Walker in our perm, another who should find trip/ground right up his street, in what is a particularly trappy affair.
15:30 – It doesn’t get any easier in leg three with division 2 of the above handicap to sink our teeth into, and again it looks a necessity to err on the side of caution and select two against the field in our bid to come out of the race unscathed. Garzoni hasn’t set the world alight to date yet this relatively unexposed four-year-old should have come on for his two starts since joining Tim Easterby. The application of blinkers and a tongue tie plus the services of Graham Gibbons should see him to better effect. This leads us on to our second selection, Jupiter Fidius, who in stark contrast to Garzoni is older and more exposed but offers us the safety of acting on the ground and at the trip and runs consistently around this mark year on year.
16:00 – Leg four sees us only with the two places on offer but it shouldn’t be a problem for the Roger Varian-trained Hasheem. One of the only runners in the line-up who is sure to act on the ground, things didn’t go to plan for him at Chester last time, with him having a hopeless task from his position, and he should be in the thick of the action for his in-form stable.
16:30 – Race five does not look as competitive as it first appears and the horse with the most interesting profile has to be Mean It. A good second on his only start this season, he gets the opportunity to race off just a 1 lb higher mark here. With the step up in trip likely to eek that extra improvement and Graham Lee booked we will put our trust in him to take us through.
17:00 – What better way to finish than another tricky handicap and once again we select a couple of runners in our bid to try and land the Placepot. Mason Hindmarsh, a winner at Ripon earlier this month, stays this trip and acts on the forecast ground, so he looks one of the more likely ones to give his running. He is joined by Chris Grant’s Rock Relief, who developed into a decent hurdler this winter. He has confirmed his liking for the track on numerous occasions, including over C&D, and returns to the Flat off a feasible mark given his recent hurdling exploits; hopefully he can take us over the line.
Selections:
14:30 – 1
15:00 – 4, 8
15:30 – 2, 4

I’m thinking there’s more chance of Wayne Rooney growing a perm than there is of tomorrow’s lucky 15 coming in, no man not even the legend that is Milesey and crack two in on the spin but hey !! I’ll still be jumping on !
Playing singles tommorrow but I rather stick the 2 doubles in a massive lucky 15 instead.
33p lucky 15 on wi skybet so a could get a free matching promo code bet, tried to put it on bayern 4-2 but put dortmund 4-2 instead 100/1 last 5p in acc on hummels 4-2 dortmund scorecast 1700/1 for £85.05 :) hopefully this lucky 15 comes in again
Any reason you chose Well painted after he was last of 26 on his latest outing ?
WELL PAINTED is coming down to a nice mark again, so will pick up a win sometime, hopefully today is the day…………… but please don’t be throwing big money on my selections today, small stakes is enough on the lucky 15, etc….. to see a nice profit.
PLEASE DO NOT THROW BIG MONEY ON MY SELECTIONS TODAY…………. it was a good day yesterday, 2 in a row is impossible, my doubles are the ones to follow today, and the top treble looks good. ………………… and PEOPLE WHO WON YESTERDAY, BANK THE MONEY AND ENJOY IT !!
Milesey
Exactly milesey tell them. Am on the doubles and big priced singles. And yes will definitely enjoy yesterdays winnings
New to all the horse racing stuff. What’s the best way to back the lucky 15 with a small steak but likely to give a not bad return? Sorry if its so stupid. Just not sure of what to do. Thanks in advance :)
“” small steak “” ?
hahaha, i like to normally throw on a chicken leg ;)
It’s what you can afford isn’t it really, £1 untit stake so a total of £15 / 50p unit stake so a total of £7.50, stake is completely upto you………… as for your small steak i have no idea i like mine medium rare :)
Milesey
My mate yesterday did 26p unit stake, so £3.90 in total, netted £150…… odds today are better then yesterday, so the same stake will net you more, if it comes in, but you see a return if any win, if one comes in probably won’t return your stake, but you get double on a lucky 15 for just 1 winner………… if your doing them in the shops makesure you fill it on out on the lucky 15 slip, don’t write them on a blank for the shop won’t pay out the bonus if you get a single winner.
Milesey
………….. as i’ve said don’t throw big money on it, it’s impossible to hit 4 out of 4 again today……… 10p unit stake £1.50, 20p unit stake £3, is good enough on a lucky 15 at the odds i have put up today, if i was putting short priced favourites on then i would up my stake for i would be pretty confident, we’ll see how we go, never any guarantees ! Might hit none today.
Milesey
Haha cheers milesey :) I prefer well done myself!
Ended up doing 20p unit stakes so I’ll just wait and see what the outcome is. Thanks for the great tips anyway mate :)
hahaha,
I know people who like to chuck £5 – £10 a day on scratch cards……… i’d rather put that on a lucky 15, or a placepot, for it gives me some interest for the day. Some people will say it’s just corrupt etc…… some races probably are, sometimes the jockey won’t ride out to the line, it’s a sport i love………….. football is no different, some games are corrupt, it’s not all of them, same as not every horse race, if you believed that you wouldn’t follow it !
Milesey
Milesey, I like to put £5 a day on a pint or two – is that OK? I won’t back your lucky 15 today because odds of two in a row are astronomic but we both know good tips bring higher expectations and some people will be expecting you to do it again. Right, off to lunch with admin probably to get arsed kicked for losing Betway top treble entries – but luckily they’ve been found again.
I’ll no be expecting anything less than a full house :) seriously 2/4 for £ back and a would be happy but gotta be in it to win it, Paul you’ll be kicking yourself come half 8 when all 4 romp home :)
Craig, I know the odds of landing two successive Lucky 15s but you’re right you’ve go to be in it to win it. Those who won yesterday don’t need to see anotheron this year and they’ll still be up. In my opinion getting 3 out of 4 is good going.
Towcester double tonight GARRYLEIGH and SMOOTH CLASSIC.
Well done Milesey yesterday with your lucky 15 good to hear bookies getting thumped nice 1.

Very risky would have done it ew if it was me but then maybe he knows something i dont time will tell.
LORD FRANKLIN 3.00 Newcastle
There has been 8mm of rain overnight at Newcastle and the ground is now riding soft, which will be music to the ears of Eric Alston ahead of Lord Franklin’s run in division one of the John Smith’s Extra Smooth Handicap at 3.00.
The four-year-old’s form figures in soft ground or worse read 2-1-3-2 and he’s been dropped 2lb in the handicap following two less than impressive efforts on the all-weather at Wolverhampton and on good-to-firm ground at Warwick.
He’ll be much more at home in the soft ground today and previous to those two below-par runs he’d been running well for 5lb-claimer Jason Hart who is back in the saddle this afternoon.
Hart rode Lord Franklin to be third at Hamilton and second at Ayr off marks of 55 in soft and heavy ground last year too, so from a handicapping point of view he should go close from a rating of 53 in soft ground today.
To add confidence to the selection consider Alston’s record at Newcastle. He has a 20 per cent win strike-rate at the track in the last five years and a 40 per cent place strike-rate too if you’re thinking of backing him each-way.
He’s also operating at +£53 to a £1 stake on all runners at the track in the last five years and this season alone he’s two from three in 3yo+ handicaps at Newcastle
John how much have you put on the race?
Reading what John had 2 say, Lord Franklin has gotta be worth a nifty ! Being backed in heavily all day, grabbed 13/2 but 6’s now !
Horse finished 3rd ouch
No repeat then. Lol
