Colonel Mak has plummeted in the weights and may be able to take advantage of the assessor’s leniency in the 15:25 at Thirsk. It is true to say that Colonel Mak hasn’t been at his best so far this season but he is starting to look dangerously well handicapped and there was plenty to like about his performance on his penultimate outing at Pontefract. He moved for much of the way like a horse that retained plenty of ability and, although he was disappointing at Ascot, it is worth taking a chance on David Barron’s six-year-old.

Cape Peron to make a winning handicap debut (19:00). Henry Candy’s three-year-old shaped with promise on his sole start here as a juvenile, finishing third over an inadequate six furlongs, but he put up a much-improved display upped to a mile at Newbury on his return, producing a telling turn of foot late on to run down some useful rivals. He looks open to plenty of progress and should be backed to score again.

Takeyourcapoff (15:55) makes plenty of appeal, particularly with Charlie Elliott’s 7 lb claims, and she can see off Admiral Barry and Concrete And Clay. The eight-year-old landed a 1¾m Killarney maiden in 2011 and placed in 3 of his 4 starts on the Flat last year. A spin over hurdles at Leopardstown in March should’ve blown away the cobwebs and now tried in blinkers.

Step up the Mark Johnston second-string Party Line, who is ignored in the market for a couple of spurious reasons.
Firstly, the daughter of Montjeu was behind Lady Kashaan at Ripon last time, and is therefore scrubbed off most shortlists, where the last run is king. Secondly she’s seemingly passed over by the stable jockey, who rides Red Orator instead. Strike Two. I won’t go off on one about lazy punting attitudes, particularly about ignoring multiple entries from certain yards, but both factors are hugely overplayed. Party Line actually shaped very well over 2m at Ripon before finding her stamina stretched by the trip, and has realistic claims of reversing that form with Lady Kashaan with the benefit of the run and with today’s track and trip very much in her favour. She’s also got a useful draw next to the fence, and while not having stronger claims than half a dozen others, is the one who looks to have been underestimated by the market.

Milesey, firstly I deleted it because I was about to post it. Secondly, don’t tell me what to delete or not delete. I’m still not happy about the nonsense that went on last night.
Well it’s a tipping site to post tips, saying you won on the lottery, casino, or prostituting your arse has nothing to do with this site, or does it add to this site one little bit !
…………. but you will side with your buddy who rings you up all the time for a chat, and who has actually made several people leave this site, for they had enough of his crap.
Nevermind…… when it’s just yourself and your buddy you will be happy !
Milesey
………… we had weeks of this site actually being great, cause your buddy was on holiday, or whatever he was doing, and there was no problems on here. Anyone can post the shit he does, never a decent tip, never a winner, unless it’s off the site then he’ll come on and bragg about winning with his nan at the bingo………. not going to get involved in massive debate over it, but at least i use the site for the purpose it is here for, just like others do, a few people like to abuse you, and you do nothing about it.
Milesey
Milesey, firstly Chris isn’t my buddie, secondly he didn’t do much wrong last night and thirdly he emailed proof of his winnings. It’s an open site and people who don’t abide by rules are banned. Anyone who doesn’t like a particular comment doesn’t have to read. The majority of the comments are worth a look and there’s a bit of banter too.
hahahaha, okay, I am not going to argue with you, but you know what he is like, muzza, knottsy and others will tell you………….. lost £4,000 on the football but i walked the dog and a bloke handed me £8,000 so it’s all good…. plus he can’t place a bet without you wiping his arse for him, but you like to babysit him so it’s all good !
Milesey
Milesey, anyone can say anything but you don’t have to believe it.
Paul on that thread..Heidi Klum asked me out AGAIN tonight..offered to fly me over to LA all expenses paid nice romantic dinner, double room booked in the Beverly Wilshire,…I just told her AGAIN..look NO Heidi..not this weekend…I’ve told you Eurovosion is on and i want to follow Milesey tips. Some women just dont know when to give you a break…u need your own space, know whats mean Paul??
Milesey, I’m off, need to get back before that Malmo singalong starts and Chris said he’ll wash my car before it starts raining.

NEWBURY PLACEPOT
——————————
13:30 – Russian Realm, a Dansili colt out of the top-class Russian Rhythm, is an obvious selection in the opening leg and he really ought to get off the mark; he shaped particularly well on debut at Salisbury last season and it is worth forgiving his Chester return, as very little went in his favour. This looks a pretty strong maiden so we’re also going to include Dare To Achieve, who was well backed on debut last term and travelled well for a long way, as a spot of back-up.
14:05 – Harris Tweed sets the standard and has a decent record when fresh but, with Chiberta King in the line-up, he could face competition for the lead so we are instead going to side with Viking Storm and Gallipot. The former progressed well last year and ought to be more at home over this trip having been outpaced in the Winter Derby on his return whilst Gallipot, trained by John Gosden, could have yet more to offer this year, having improved in leaps and bound last year, and should go well.
14:40 – Top Cop lost his way slightly last year but he looks favourably handicapped as a result and, having shaped well on his return at Goodwood earlier this month, seems sure to go close for trainer Andrew Balding. The gelding is equipped with a visor for the first time here, which could just eke out a bit more improvement, and it would come as a disappointment were he not to be seriously involved. Khubala was ultimately well beaten in the Victoria Cup last time but went well for a long way and simply didn’t get home over seven furlongs; his customary headgear is back in place and a return to sprinting will suit.
15:15 – Sir Michael Stoute can seemingly do no wrong at present, with his representatives hitting the mark left, right and centre, and he should get on the scoreboard once more with Hillstar in this contest. The three-year-old is from an excellent family, boasts some strong form and rates as a smart prospect so he really ought to be winning this.
15:50 – Declaration Of War makes more appeal than Farhh and Cityscape at the head of the market but we’re going to swerve them all by selecting Fencing and Beauty Parlour. The first mentioned was highly tried last year, running in the 2000 Guineas, the Dante and the St James’s Palace, but he looked better than ever on his seasonal return at Ascot and it wouldn’t come as a surprise were he to go well. Beauty Parlour landed the French 1000 Guineas and finished second in the French Oaks last year and it is well worth forgiving her debut for this yard at Newmarket when last seen, as that simply wasn’t her running. She looks a massive price at the current 8.0 and seems sure to make a bold bid.
16:25 – A three-year-old maiden isn’t the most pleasant of ways to conclude a Placepot so, in an attempt to avoid a final leg exit, we are going to select stables rather than horses. Hannon and Stoute, that’s the way forward, so Royal Challis and Plover are the pair taken to see us across the line.
Selections:
13:30 – 3, 10
14:05 – 3, 5
14:40 – 5, 11
15:15 – 2
15:50 – 7, 13
16:25 – 6, 10

Paul?milesy was there a bit of carry on last night then? shit..missed it..what happened?
hahaha, you didn’t miss much, so wouldn’t worry :)
Milesey
was it who i think it mita been?
wasn’t me Guido I was in a drunken stupor was in no fit state to argue I passed out just as the minor incident was occurring
Dan, i wizna meaning u at all..was think of someone else entirely..seems to be right in amongst any friction a lot of the times when things kick off
not to sure what happened mate if Paul aint happy about it the next day then am assuming it got out of hand at some point in time
not to happy myself forgot about the last rocky and the fight result was hoping hed ko the guy but he didny lol
Yeah it was Mr Fixit, giving it the big one that he had won the euromillions after he spunked 100 thousand last night on real Madrid and over 2.5 goals………….. after i won on atletico lifting the trophy and the draw in the 90 minutes :)
Milesey
………….. and he was so pissed off that the 1-1 blew out his over 2.5 goals in his treble that he is now calling himself JASPER !
Milesey
Guido, you missed two little boys having a playground scrap. Headmaster had to give them bollicking. Anyway looks like I’ll tune into the Eurovision near the end to hear (see) the Norwegian song but there’s no way I’m having a bet.
Why you not having a bet ? it’s no different then first goalscorer betting ;) ;)
Milesey
Milesey, it’s no different. OK, next time my first scorer doesn’t come up trumps I’ll ask for it to be voided coz he didn’t sing some kind of Eurotrash to fans before kick-off. Give me Rush and Led Zepellin all day and I’m quite happy.
hahaha, i thought Mr F was more a Rolf man ;) ;)
“” Guido, you missed two little boys “”
Milesey
Probably not a good time to be associated with Rolfie!! :-)
Tried to like Led Zeppellin Paul…like Stairway to heaven n few others but a bit fairys at the bottom of the garden/leprechauns/mythology/JRR Tolkien for me. ACDC n Guns n Roses for me. seen both in Glasgow recent years. Axl Rose even now is superb. Milesey is a bit Steps fan
Guido, I know what you mean about Zepellin but plenty of classics in there. I tried steps once but prefer the lift.
Two litle boys had two little toys…..! Trying oot another driver Paul..young pal of mine works in American Golf gave me the demo for the weekend..a Wilson D100 Reg but lite shaft…woof!!…rrrrripping em away well.,,wid say a good 20 yards further when i connect well. never underestimate getting the right type shaft on your driver Paul!
Guido, I don’t drive well enough to worry about it. The new Ping I got with a regular shaft has helped but so did the driver lessons. Thinking about a new rescue club before I head off on my trip – 13 days to go and counting.
Seriously Paul, Ive had reg shafts but there are differences…up to 95mph swiong speed should suit etc..but they are different.the lite shaft one might just be worthwhile trying. Nothing to lose. I was using a Cobra with a 12 deg loft which i hit well/nice flight etc with little effort/easy..but not get great run at times/held up in wind. this 10.5 with lite shaft..real difference.I widna have thought about Wilson, but tbh…if the shaft n loft suits you yer away!
Guido, honestly I’m good enough to get over technical. Chipping and putting’s my game.
