IT'S all about Lingfield today and here are my tips for the SURREY meeting.
Lingfield 2.10
PRINCE OF BURMA has failed to take advantage despite returning to a winning mark in handicaps and is dropped in class for this. Clear on official ratings, Jeremy Gask's charge is the one to beat.
Alhaban looks next best even though he has 12lb to find with the selection at the weights, as he finished well ahead of Abhaath when third at Kempton last month. An apprentice's claim helps the cause of Mister Green on his first start since July and he's preferred to Simpson Millar and The Noble Ord who both look up against it on today's terms.
Prediction: 1st Prince Of Burma, 2nd Alhaban, 3rd Mister Green
Lingfield 2.40
It's hard to make a strong case for any of these. Hidden Link has gone backwards since scoring at Wolverhampton in January and Tebbit was well beaten in a claimer on his recent return to action.
Limoges finished a bit closer on her latest start but Warrant Officer posted another poor effort last time. Marmot Bay was engaged to run here yesterday and the speculative vote goes to MUDAAWEM. He has to be forgiven a below-par run at Wolverhampton last month but gets another chance dropping down a grade today.
Prediction: 1st Mudaawem, 2nd Hidden Link, 3rd Marmot Bay
Lingfield 3.10
Elusive Hawk scored over 6f at Kempton a week ago and has done all his winning so far over that trip. Valdaw is another recent winner over 6f but has gone close over today's distance before and may well figure.
The Happy Hammer is another with claims along with Yankee Storm, upped only 2lb for his win at Wolverhampton last month. Sannibel is not out of this either having failed to handle the Fibresand last time but a tentative vote in an open affair goes to WEST LEAKE. He ended a long losing run with victory over course and distance last month and remains on a winning mark for this.
Prediction: 1st Elusive Hawk, 2nd Lord Of The Dance, 3rd Valdaw
Lingfield 3.40
RED LARKSPUR didn't manage a win last year but has dropped 8lb since the start of last season. The presence of Richard Hughes suggests he's expected to go well on his reappearance and he gets the nod. Catalinas Diamond scored over track and trip last month and her defeat of Dorothy's Dancing gives her the beating of today's rival Amethyst Dawn. But like recent 7f winner, Chevise, she failed to figure off a higher mark last time. Rooknrasbryripple and Hold The Star have little chance racing from out of the handicap.
Prediction: 1st Amethyst Dawn, 2nd Red Larkspur, 3rd Catalinas Diamond
Lingfield 4.10
The Hannon yard arrives in good form having had a couple of winners on Saturday and MYSTERIAL may be up to landing this on his return to action. He hasn't raced since June but should get a good tow round from Limit Up. The latter went close when stepped up to a mile here on his recent comeback and looks a likely pacesetter now sprinting once again.
The remainder are harder to fancy but Clearing finished behind a subsequent winner when fifth on her debut at Kempton in October and makes more appeal than Spymistress and Uganda Glory unless the betting suggests otherwise.
Prediction: 1st Mysterial, 2nd Limit Up, 3rd Uganda Glory
Lingfield 4.40
Mount Abora found only one too good in similar company last time and should be thereabouts once again. El Libertador is usually in the mix in this grade without being quite good enough and IRENE KENNET is preferred. She had Legal Legacy and Rodrigo De Freitas behind when third at Kempton three weeks ago and the winner has subsequently gone in again.
Crimson Monarch won a lowly handicap at Wolverhampton recently and will find this tougher while Rollin ‘n Tumblin was winning for the first time since 2008 over 2m here last month but has been beaten since.
Prediction: 1st Mount Abora, 2nd El Libertador, 3rd Irene Kennet
Lingfield 5.10
MUBTADI needed only minimum urging to go past Fly Haaf at Wolverhampton last time and land a hat-trick. He's up 5lb for that but further progress looks likely and he's worth sticking with. Sail Home recorded a cosy win over track and trip last month when Ogaritmo was second and should figure back at this course while Understory beat previous winner Conducting here on his penultimate start and has claims.
Kindia is lightly-raced and should be noted in the betting having slipped down the weights over the winter while Bernisdale has been running well over longer trips at Wolverhampton and carries a penalty for last week's victory over 1m4f.
Prediction: 1st Mubtadi, 2nd Ogaritmo, 3rd Conducting
Treble
PRINCE OF BURMA 2.08
ELUSIVE HAWK 2.78
MYSTERIAL 2.1
LINGERS Place AND Win
———————-
CONDUCTING in the 17.10 at Lingfield. This gelding finished second to Officer In Command in a claimer over this course earlier this month. He was headed a furlong from home but held on doggedly to hold the runner-up position.
He has been in good form this winter and should run well at a decent price in this competitive handicap. At present he is trading at 12.0 on the exchange.

Looking for a few tips for a placepot today at lingfield. Any1 able to help?
14:10 – The Jeremy Gask-trained Prince of Burma caught the eye when finishing fifth on his penultimate start and it is worth forgiving his below-par effort last time as he was not equipped with his now customary blinkers. The five-year-old looks well-treated on these terms as he drops into a seller for the first time and he should get back on the scoreboard.
14:40 – None of the six competitors in this field make any real appeal, so we are faced with something of a tricky proposition. Our only saving grace is that we have two places to aim at so the best solution is probably to include Hidden Link, who ought to be suited by the return to a mile, and Tebbit, who may pull out a bit more now fitted with headgear, and hope that one of them hits the mark.
15:10 – Elusive Hawk seems sure to go close running here under a penalty incurred for a simple success at Kempton a week ago but, given that he is likely to be carrying an overwhelming proportion of Placepot lines, we may be best served by taking him on in the hope that he misses out. The two we shall side with are Sannibel and West Leake, with the former expected to bounce back having seemingly failed to handle fibresand last time and the latter still feasibly treated, when bearing in mind his old form, despite having gone up 2 lb for his win over C&D last time.
15:40 – The Roger Teal-trained Red Larkspur is of interest with the booking of Richard Hughes and the fitting of the hood for the first time catching the eye but the safest option is Amethyst Dawn, who is pretty consistent, having hit the frame on her last four starts, and there is no reason why she shouldn’t go close here.
16:10 – This looks set to develop into a match between Limit Up and Mysterial and, with there being two places on offer at present, we need take only one of them. The first mentioned may boast a fitness edge having taken to the track 10 days ago but he isn’t certain to appreciate the return to sprinting, so we will instead side with the Richard Hannon-trained Mysterial, who cost 150,000 gns as a yearling and is from the family of Irish 1000 Trusted Partner. He ran to a similar level in a trio of maidens last year and has been gelded during his absence, so it is not out of the question that he could prove capable of better now.
16:40 – 14 go to post for a pretty competitive closing leg, but we are quite content to bank upon Irene Kennet as we attempt to get across the line. The six-year-old left her maiden form behind to land a brace of all-weather handicaps in January but has actually improved in two starts since despite failing to add to her tally. Her likeable attitude and steadily progressive profile seem likely to stand her in good stead here and she ought to make a good fist of at least hitting the places.
Selections:
14:10 – 4
14:40 – 1, 2
15:10 – 7, 8
15:40 – 3
16:10 – 2
16:40 – 2

That price on CONDUCTING out to 22.0 is very hard to ignore and should be well worth a place bet in this race.
Milesey
Conducting done poor time last time at lingfield others in field done quicker time, dont fancy Conducting to get placed but thats racing everyone has different view on races. Good luck whatever you bet.
Really ?
Second last time out even beating bert the alert ?
Back to back wins at Lingers in big fields, then a 3rd place and most recently a second place. I don’t call them bad runs and is off a lower mark today. Horse does well in these big fields, will have to wait for later for the answers….
Milesey
Never said poor runs said poor time check out time compared to Ogaritmo over same cd.
Then maybe factor in conditions, was the track riding the same, what was the pace like from the start ? many factors to consider when basing horses on previous runs and times, will it run to that time again, may blow the start….. CONDUCTING for a place looks like a good bet, is always quite consistant, so at 22.0 it’s worth a punt. The track maybe riding slow today anyway for frost, weather conditions get into the track no matter what it’s made from, and not the best weather to be setting blistering times.

Milesey
Milesey, just finished the Record stuff for tomorrow, making the boy’s tea then going for a walk.
Just just just walking the duggggggggg. Chin up you will do better tomorrow m8 am sure :)
did alright today thanks…….. don’t take a true reflection of my day from my tips, i do alot of inplay, back to lays, so just cause i backed something, don’t mean i didn’t lay it in running, but it’s abit hard when doing these sort of things to post on here and get people on certain things, i make most my money on the betfair market, and inplay, also back to lays and trding bets, i never lose a whole stake, i’d rather cash out and take the pennies on offer ;) ;)
Milesey ( betfair )
Personally I’d just ignore the negative troll milesey, some people just looking for an internet argument because their lives are so shallow :-)
No John is normally safe, must be something he’s eaten today ;) ;)

HORSE RACING TIPS
TUESDAY 26TH MARCH 2013
FONTWELL 2.40
** NAP SUSTAINABILITY NAP ** 1.25
SUSTAINABILITY shouldn’t have too much trouble in landing this novice chase. Venetia Williams’ 125-rated chaser finished a close-up second in a Wincanton handicap last month and the five-time career winner wouldn’t have to improve much on that performance to land the spoils.
SUSTAINABILITY has only managed one win from his five starts over fences so far but has shown a decent level of form overall and should be able to double his tally here against three rivals. Cool Cascade may give him most to do as she did manage to win a race over hurdles last summer, which is more than Hightown and One For The Boss have managed so far. The former was rated 12lb higher than the latter over timber but has been pulled up in two of his last three starts.
Winner of four hurdle races and a chase from 2m to 2m 2f on ground varying from good to soft to heavy. Beaten 1/2l by Criqtonic when second of 4 at 7-2 on his latest outing in a chase at Wincanton over 2m 5f (good to soft) last month.
FONTWELL 5.10
HARRY’S FAREWELL 8.2
An interesting bumper finale for punters to get stuck into and it could pay to side with two-time point-to-point winner HARRY’S FAREWELL. The six-year-old is taken to come out on top in what is likely to prove a stamina-sapping test in the conditions and he can out-stay his rivals.
Having his first run for a new stable today, previously with E Walker.
FONTWELL 3.10
JUPITER REX 1.75
JUPITER REX completed a five-timer when scoring over the extended 3m at Taunton last month, a 5lb rise looks fair and he’s taken to go in again.
Jupiter Rex has been very cleverly placed by Venetia Williams to rattle up a five-timer and the runner-up has franked the form of his latest success over hurdles at Taunton last month. He’s only 5lb higher in this and Micheal Nolan is one of the more accomplished conditionals around but his steady climb up the weights is going to take its toll at some stage and the mare EGRETTA ISLAND is potentially well treated if she can get her act together. Warren Greatrex’ seven-year-old won at Towcester around this time last year and it could be worth risking her stamina over this much longer trip. Master Cardor Visa has gone up 8lb since his second at Ffos Las while it’s a long time since Fortification and Sapphire Rouge showed any worthwhile form.
Winner of three hurdle races and two chases from 3m to 3m 2f on ground varying from good to soft to heavy. Won on his latest outing in a hurdle race when 4-6fav at Taunton over 3m (soft) last month, beating Decimus by 1 3/4l. Has won 3 times this season.
SOUTHWELL 5.00
SCRIBE 5.5
Scribe scored over track and trip in February but should have finished a lot closer to Masterful Act last time when beaten nine lengths in second.
Successful at 1m 4f and 2m on the all-weather (1 FB, 1 PO). Beaten 9l by Masterful Act when second of 7 at 7-2 on his latest outing here over 1m 6f earlier this month.
SOUTHWELL 3.00
CORN SNOW 5.9
Mark Johnston has won two of the last three runnings of this race so his Corn Snow must be given the utmost respect, but he didn’t show a great deal in two turf starts last summer.
Unplaced in both starts. Finished 19l behind Rising Legend when last of 5 at 5-1 on his latest outing at Brighton over 7f (good to soft) in August last year. Having his first run for a new stable today, previously with Mahmood Al Zarooni in United Arab Emirates.
LINGFIELD 4.50
WORDINESS 2.06
WORDINESS has improved no end since stepping up to 1m4f/1m5f in recent times and he’s tough to oppose in this sort of mood. Up 8lb for scoring with any amount in hand over track and trip in an apprentice jockeys’ handicap 10 days ago, jockey Robert Tart is now entitled to claim 5lb in this company and a repeat display should be good enough.
WORDINESS completed a hat-trick in impressive style over the track and trip 10 days ago and though raised 8lb Robert Tart’s claim takes care of much of that and victory number four looks on the cards. Admirable Duque has to be a big threat with his penalty for Friday’s easy victory at Wolverhampton as he’s likely to be raised by more than 6lb in the future. Norfolk Sky tackled this trip for the first time here last month and, though fading close home, she was by no means disgraced and should get involved. Mohanad stays much further and hasn’t been seen since August while Ascendant should do better when back over hurdles.
He has won three times from 1m 4f to 1m 5f on polytrack. Won on his latest outing when 9-4fav over this course and distance earlier this month, beating Stentorian by 4l. Has won 3 times this season.
LINGFIELD 4.20
XINBAMA 7.4
XINBAMA has come back down to his last winning mark of 74 and makes most appeal. A course winner over 7f in May last year, Seb Sanders clearly gets on well with the son of Baltic King and he might be on offer at rewarding odds
Xinbama has a victory from this mark to his credit on Turf and has also scored here, though he hasn’t been seen since October
He has won three times from 6f to 7f including a win on polytrack. Finished 4 1/2l behind Layali Dubai when fourth of 12 at 13-2 on his latest outing at Wolverhampton over 1m 1f in October last year.
Tuesday, Southwell 15:30
Fairy Wing was a fairly useful 3-time winner in Ireland last year, and belatedly back to form for current yard when narrowly landing a 6f handicap here on Saturday. Untried over 5f, and more needed to defy a penalty.
Lesley’s Choice rattled off a hat-trick last spring, and though out of sorts for some time now, dangerous to dismiss from much reduced mark, especially as he can boast a C&D record of 1221162. Blinkers back on.
Marshall Art got off the mark in weak selling handicap here (6f) last month, and has made minimal impact off higher marks in 3 starts since, including when tried in a hood last time. Passed over again.
Spic ‘n’ Span is an out-and-out 5f performer who has won 6 times over C&D. Hard to catch right these days, following a couple of solid efforts with a rather tame showing over this trip at Wolverhampton last time.
Rambo Will usually gives his running without winning, and bit better than bare result under an aggressive ride at Kempton last time. In frame both starts here, and should be on the premises again.
Steel City Boy snapped a lengthy losing sequence in a 6f handicap at Wolverhampton in January. Typically up and down since, but fared best of those to race close up in a C&D event last time. Bit more required now.
Chateau Lola is hard to catch right but everything came together at Wolverhampton (5f) last month. Just respectable efforts on both starts since, and while yard remains in form, she looks vulnerable again.
Thorpe Bay struggled after winning fibresand claimer 13 months ago, but back to form when runner-up both starts here for current yard, and weighted to gain revenge for a narrow defeat by Fairy Wing on Saturday.
Ryedale Dancer got back on the scoreboard at Wolverhampton in October. Struggled to recapture that form since, although not disgraced when fourth of 10 behind Fairy Wing here at the weekend. Needs to build on that.
Bond Blade ran well to find frame in pair of 6f handicaps here for Geoff Oldroyd early last year, and better signs when staying on to grab third in a C&D event last time, albeit helped by a strongly-run race.
1. Lesley’s Choice 5
2. Thorpe Bay 4.3
3. Rambo Will 6.2
The booking of Graham Lee and refitting of blinkers are both signals of intent, and Lesley’s Choice looks poised to bounce back to form back over this C&D. Thorpe Bay was narrowly denied by Fairy Wing at the weekend, and should turn the tables on revised terms, while Rambo Will shouldn’t be far away.

Am i missing summin here have they suddenly moved Lingfield to Ireland ? ;-)
