MY weather forecast is already up and here are my Sunday tips. It could be a great day of racing and a great day overall – if Stevenage win at Tranmere.

Wincanton 2.55
LITTLE JIMMY 2.0

Little Jimmy completed a hat-trick over C&D earlier this month and is tough to oppose in this sort of mood. The Passing Glance gelding is now a full 15lb higher than when scoring at Lingfield on similar ground at the start of February but beat Sawpit Supreme with ease here latest and seems to thrive in these smaller fields.

Wincanton 4.55
ONE CONEMARA 1.96

One Conemara was quite impressive when making a winning hurdling debut at Ludlow last month and looks sure to take plenty of beating this afternoon.

Curragh 3.0
BIRDS EYE VIEW 3.4

Tommy Stack traditionally has his string well forward at this time of year and his BIRD’S EYE VIEW looks very interesting on her handicap debut off an opening mark of 79. The JP McManus-owned filly finished third behind Aidan O’Brien’s subsequent Group 3 winner Nephrite in her juvenile campaign and was successful on her sole run at three over this C&D last term. With testing ground known to suit she could get the upper hand

Curragh 3.30
YELLOW ROSEBUD 1.77

Yellow Rosebud should be able to concede weight all round. Dermot Weld’s filly didn’t make much of an impact when seventh in the 1000 Guineas here last May but she went on to post three highly-creditable efforts, signing off in October with victory in the Group 3 Concorde Stakes over the extended 7f at Tipperary. She enjoys getting her toe into the ground and is open to further improvement this term

LUCKY 15

LITTLE JIMMY
ONE CONEMARA
BIRDS EYE VIEW
YELLOW ROSEBUD

PUNT

WINCANTON 3.25
RATIFY 7.2

Ratify reverts to fences having come back down to his last winning mark of 97 and Brendan Powell claims a useful 3lb in the saddle.

    ———————–

Mia’s Boy is a hold-up performer who is proving consistent this winter without managing to put his head in front. Not at best over 1m here last week and opposable for win purposes once more.

Super Say was back to winning ways when cosily landing C&D claimer for Jamie Osborne in December. Fine second in handicap after for new yard but well held back from a break last time. Hood tried now.

John Biscuit won an Epsom handicap in July and ended 2012 campaign with creditable third at the same track (front 3 well clear) in September. Hood fitted ahead of reappearance and one to consider.

Fennell Bay gained his fourth win of the year in King George V Handicap at Royal Ascot. Hit and miss since and although he’s on a good mark, he might find this an inadequate test on return from a break.

Aquilonius has slipped down in weights and back on track for new yard in recent months, winning 3 times here at up to this trip. Didn’t run badly over further last week but not got anything in hand from this mark.

Swing Alone’s sole victory at 2 yrs was gained in 8.6f Wolverhampton maiden. Found frame on 4 of final 5 outings last term and ran right up to his best over 1m here on recent return. Has an each-way claim.

Takeitfromalady was steadily progressive for Ralph Beckett during the first half of last season but form levelled off in the autumn and last of 7 here on debut for new yard. Engaged 2.40 Doncaster Saturday.

Savanna Days made a winning return to action 12 months ago and generally held her form well afterwards. Proven ability fresh a positive now returning from a break.

Daghash landed 7.5f maiden at Beverley in 2011, and improved on previous efforts last term when winning 11.5f handicap at Yarmouth in September. Fair effort when last seen but more needed back from a break.

    1. John Biscuit
    2. Savanna Days
    3. Swing Alone

John Biscuit has some solid form to his name on turf and he could be the one to side with now returning from a winter break. Savanna Days can go well fresh and has place claims, while Swing Alone is another consistent performer with a chance of picking up some more prize money.

    WIN and PLACE
    ————-

ELNA BRIGHT in the 16.10 at Lingfield. This gelding finished third to Crew Cut at Kempton earlier this month. He attempted to make all the running, but was collared a furlong from home and could only stay on at the one pace.

He has some decent form in the book and could run well at a big price in this competitive handicap. At present he is trading at 15.0 on the exchange.

    Monday 25th March 2013

    Lingers only today……..

    Lingfield 14:10
PRINCE OF BURMA has failed to take advantage despite returning to a winning mark in handicaps and is dropped in class for this. Clear on official ratings, Jeremy Gask’s charge is the one to beat. Alhaban looks next best even though he has 12lb to find with the selection at the weights, as he finished well ahead of Abhaath when third at Kempton last month. An apprentice’s claim helps the cause of Mister Green on his first start since July and he’s preferred to Simpson Millar and The Noble Ord, who both look up against it on today’s terms.

Prediction: 1st Prince Of Burma, 2nd Alhaban, 3rd Mister Green

    Lingfield 14:40
It’s hard to make a strong case for any of these. Hidden Link has gone backwards since scoring at Wolverhampton in January and Tebbit was well beaten in a claimer on his recent return to action. Limoges finished a bit closer on her latest start but Warrant Officer posted another poor effort last time. Marmot Bay was engaged to run here yesterday and the speculative vote goes to MUDAAWEM. He has to be forgiven a below par run at Wolverhampton last month but gets another chance dropping down a grade today.

Prediction: 1st Mudaawem, 2nd Hidden Link, 3rd Marmot Bay

    Lingfield 15:10
Elusive Hawk scored over 6f at Kempton a week ago and has done all his winning so far over that trip. Valdaw is another recent winner over 6f but has gone very close over today’s distance before and may well figure. The Happy Hammer is another with claims along with Yankee Storm, upped only 2lb for his win at Wolverhampton last month. Sannibel is not out of this either having failed to handle the Fibresand last time but a tentative vote in an open affair goes to WEST LEAKE. He ended a long losing run with victory over course and distance last month and remains on a winning mark for this.

Prediction: 1st Elusive Hawk, 2nd Lord Of The Dance, 3rd Valdaw

    Lingfield 15:40
RED LARKSPUR didn’t manage a win last year but has dropped 8lb since the start of last season. The presence of Richard Hughes suggests he’s expected to go well on his reappearance and he gets the nod. Catalinas Diamond scored over track and trip last month and her defeat of Dorothy’s Dancing gives her the beating of today’s rival Amethyst Dawn. But like recent 7f winner, Chevise, she failed to figure off a higher mark last time. Rooknrasbryripple and Hold The Star have little chance racing from out of the handicap.

Prediction: 1st Amethyst Dawn, 2nd Red Larkspur, 3rd Catalinas Diamond

    Lingfield 16:10
The Hannon yard arrives in good form having had a couple of winners on Saturday and MYSTERIAL may be up to landing this on his return to action. He hasn’t raced since June but should get a good tow round from Limit Up. The latter went close when stepped up to a mile here on his recent comeback and looks a likely pacesetter now sprinting once again. The remainder are harder to fancy but Clearing finished behind a subsequent winner when fifth on her debut at Kempton in October and makes more appeal than Spymistress and Uganda Glory unless the betting suggests otherwise.

Prediction: 1st Mysterial, 2nd Limit Up, 3rd Uganda Glory

    Lingfield 16:40
Mount Abora found only one too good in similar company last time and should be thereabouts once again. El Libertador is usually in the mix in this grade without being quite good enough and IRENE KENNET is preferred. She had Legal Legacy and Rodrigo De Freitas behind when third at Kempton three weeks ago and the winner has subsequently gone in again. Crimson Monarch won a lowly handicap at Wolverhampton recently and will find this tougher while Rollin ‘n Tumblin was winning for the first time since 2008 over 2m here last month but has been beaten since.

Prediction: 1st Mount Abora, 2nd El Libertador, 3rd Irene Kennet

    Lingfield 17:10
MUBTADI needed only minimum urging to go past Fly Haaf at Wolverhampton last time and land a hat trick. He’s up 5lb for that but further progress looks likely and he’s worth sticking with. Sail Home recorded a cosy win over track and trip last month when Ogaritmo was second and should figure back at this course while Understory beat previous winner Conducting here on his penultimate start and has claims. Kindia is lightly-raced and should be noted in the betting having slipped down the weights over the winter while Bernisdale has been running well over longer trips at Wolverhampton and carries a penalty for last week’s victory over 1m4f.

    Prediction: 1st Mubtadi, 2nd Ogaritmo, 3rd Conducting

    TREBLE

    PRINCE OF BURMA 2.08
    ELUSIVE HAWK 2.78
    MYSTERIAL 2.1

    Lingfield

    14:10
Prince Of Burma 2.42 into 1.8
    Abhaath 7.6 out to 10.0
The Noble Ord 14.0 out to 32.0

    14:40
    Mudaawem 3.75 out to 4.5
    Marmot Bay 7.0 into 5.8
    Tebbit 6.8 out to 9.6

    15:10
    Elusive Hawk 3.0 into 2.52
    West Leake 9.4 into 6.0
    Sannibel 15.5 into 8.2
Lord Of The Dance 11.0 out to 24.0

    15:40
    Red Larkspur 3.8 into 2.64
Amethyst Dawn 2.48 out to 3.3
    Chevise 7.8 out to 9.4

    16:10
    Mysterial 2.28 into 1.67
Limit Up 2.0 out to 2.98

    16:40
    Petersnoden 14.5 into 6.6
    Red Mystique 15.5 into 10.5
    Polarity 26.0 out to 50.0

    17:10
    Mubtadi 3.65 into 2.84
    Laughing Jack 18.0 into 7.2
    Bernisdale 9.2 out to 23.0
    Conducting 9.0 out to 22.0

That price on CONDUCTING out to 22.0 is very hard to ignore and should be well worth a place bet in this race.
