THERE have been some good winners of this race over the years who have gone on to bigger and better things and this season’s field suggests that may be the case again.
There looks like plenty of strength in depth so the 4-1 about Black Hercules looks a bit short to me for a horse who has yet to be really tested.

The performance from Tea For Two back in January in the Lanzarote Hurdle at Kempton was incredible – she won what looked like a tough handicap on paper by 16 lengths. It looked like the step up to 3 miles would be no problem and although he had a poor run last time out I think the each way value here is hard to ignore.
Alternative selection: Caracci Apache
Fabulous run last time to pip Blaklion who is a decent yardstick and this one looks overpriced to me, perhaps as a result of Barry Geraghty opting to ride Out Sam rather than this one. Caracci Apache should stay the 3 miles no problem and will be coming strongly up the hill at the end and looks a good shout to make the frame.
