Dark Star Angel had to settle for second place on Thursday evening, which was disappointing as she broke well and was positioned nicely throughout the contest.
The eventual winner had first run on my selection, and although she bridged the gap in the run in, she didn't have enough ground to rail her in. The winner was ridden by Silvestre De Sousa, who is normally a tough nut to pass when he hits the front. I'd keep Dark Star Angel in your trackers, as she looks sure to improve again for the run and looks better than her current mark in the mid-70s.
Precise 7/4 – Newmarket 2.57
Ballydoyle seemingly holds a strong hand in this contest, running four in an attempt to land another Group success as the flat season approaches a close.
I'm quite strong on the chances of Precise in this contest, and having jockey Christophe Soumillion is a further plus as he continues to replace the injured Ryan Moore.
This lightly raced two-year-old arrives here with recent form figures of 2111, with the pick of the bunch being her most recent run at the Curragh, which saw her land a Group 1 in pretty impressive fashion. That performance was a personal best for Precise, and she beat some nice types that day, including Venetian Sun, who had already previously won a Group 1 this term. Precise looks set to continue progressing under trainer Aiden O'Brien, and she can mop up a quick Group double here if all goes to plan.

Although the better quality racing is over at Newmarket, I'm still interested in this little Class 4 at Kempton.
Firstly, Ryan Moore's son, Toby Moore, has been handed his racing debut by trainer Charlie Appleby, as he gets on board his two year old Valdorcia. As much as it would be a great sight to see the teenager get off the mark at the first time of asking in the Goldophin blue, I thought Albaydaa was the horse to be on. With that said, Valdorcia is more than entitled to come on for her debut, which saw her finish in fourth place, and with Toby claiming 7lb, there is every chance of a dream start for the youngster.
All that aside, I've opted to keep the faith with the Haggas runner in Albaydaa, who, unfortunately for favourite backers, was turned over at 5/6 on debut three weeks ago. My selection is a beautifully bred filly by Pinatubo, and despite being turned over at odds on last time out, she should know plenty this time around, with the switch to the AW looking a good move by connections.

I was surprised to see the Ballydoyle runner Brussels as short as even money for this contest, and I think you can definitely take him on in this contest. Brussels has yet to win since his debut run at the Curragh, and although running better last time out at this very same course, I wasn't sure the drop to 5f was the correct move.
The horse I opted to go with was the Easterby-trained Revival Power, who at 10/3 could offer some value for punters to hopefully upset the applecart.
My selection has been mightily progressive this term, with recent form figures of 1,11,2,1,1. The pick of the bunch is surely his most recent outing at Doncaster, which saw her land Group 2 honours under jockey Oisin Murphy. I thought there was a lot to like about that performance, and she won quite cosily in the end by just over 1L. She has a lovely turn of foot, which I was impressed with, and looks an uncomplicated ride, which I think always helps. David Allan replaces Oisin this time around, which I have no issues with, and hopefully, Revival Power can continue progressing to land another Group success tomorrow.
