I had a no bet day on Thursday however I can’t help but feel a bit hard done by on Wednesday's selections.
Cancan was by far the best horse in that race in my opinion and if jockey Bruce Lynn spent more time trying to attack the fences and rattle the horse home 2 out rather than trying to keep her together he would have won as when she jumped the last she thundered home and lost by roughly a neck.
I’m not even going to bother commenting on the ride given to Harrow. What a complete disaster of a ride.
I’m sticking to the flat at Lingfield on Friday and a jockey booking that caught my eye was Ryan Moore who travels to Lingfield for only the one ride for Richard Hughes.
2:10 – Lingfield
Gold medal made a winning start at Wolverhampton in the September of last year then followed up with a 5th at Doncaster in listed company a month later and he’s back in calmer waters here tomorrow.
Moore has a pretty decent strike rate of 25% at Lingfield with 10 wins and 10 places from 40 rides in last 12 months.
There’s been a significant amount of money already for the Archie Watson runner Twelfth Knight who is ridden by Hollie Doyle. It was originally marked up at 15/2 and has now been backed into joint favourite with my selection.
I was done out of a significant gamble last week and I’m again sticking with my guns on my original selection for this race. It’ll be interesting to see how the market fairs overnight and close to the off.
King of jungle for Ed walker looks 3rd choice whilst Carpe Fortuna is also an interesting runner who takes a drop in trip.
Good luck
6:00 Dundalk- king of cashel 4/1
Well done, thank you
