The Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle is one of the newest races at the Cheltenham Festival.
Voice of Value's Tips
Betting purists look away now because I am going to recommend quite a snide each way here.
There are a few in with a shout here and it always helps to keep an eye on Willie Mullins' entries (his record with mares at the festival is eye-watering) but I think I have one that will be there or thereabouts at the finish.
ROSEYS HOLLOW has arguably the best form coming into the race and if she was trained by Mullins I think she would be a much shorter price than this. She looks a cracking each way bet to nothing with some firms paying 5 places each way on this race.
Her win last time out was impressive and whilst it was heavy ground I don't think she needs it to be soft. It's a bit cheeky backing an 11-2 shot each way but we'll get away with it during Cheltenham week. I think it's between the top 4 or 5 in the betting and the quality falls away quite a bit after that.

Alan Thomson's Tips
Often referred to as the Dawn Run Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle, the race was introduced in 2016 and Willie Mullins has won all five renewals (Limini, Let’s Dance, Laurina, Eglantine Du Seuil and Concertista).
The Mullins-trained HOOK UP came from an unpromising position to run a cracker at the Dublin Racing Festival, staying on into fourth behind Appreciate It in the Grade One Chanelle Pharma Novice Hurdle, and must go close meeting her own sex again.
Royal Kahala took full advantage of Hook Up’s last-flight mistake to draw clear at Fairyhouse in January but found JP McManus’ Roseys Hollow too strong on a return trip to the track. Gauloise wasn’t far away in third and the Irish seem sure to dominate this intriguing Grade 2 thriller.
Things didn’t pan out as planned for Henry de Bromhead’s Tellmesomethinggirl on her latest start at Leopardstown. It was still a fair effort and we probably haven’t seen the best of her yet.
That remark probably also applies to another Mullins contender, Glens Of Antrim.
