1.55 Brown Advisory Novices' Steeple Chase Tips
Wednesday 17 March | Age: 5yo+ | Prize: £175,000
The Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase (formerly the RSA Chase) is a Grade 1 chase held over just over three miles (3 miles and 80 yards). The race is open to novice chasers aged five and up, and during the race 19 fences are jumped by those taking part.
Voice of Value's Tips
This is one of the more straightforward races to discuss and predict in my opinion.
Monkfish should win this fairly comfortably provided he has a clear round of jumping.
He stays very well as we saw in last year's Albert Bartlett and has jumped and travelled really well in his three races over fences so far.
It doesn't look like there will be much opposition turning up to take him on and he looks like one of the bankers of the week to me.
He is currently 4-7 best price with Hills but I still think he is a fair price at 1-2. I'm recommending that you put him in your multiples along with horses like Shiskin, Envoi Allen and Concertista.

Alan Thomson's Tips
MONKFISH, unbeaten in three starts over fences for Willie Mullins, sets the bar high and displayed raw courage to land the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle here 12 months ago.
Colin Tizzard had high hopes at the beginning of the season for The Big Breakaway, fourth to Envoi Allen in last year’s Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle, and he is hopeful of a huge run. A laboured Exeter defeat was followed by a much-improved effort in the Kauto Star Novices' Chase at Kempton and The Big Breakaway isn’t one to ignore.
Henry de Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore have forged a formidable partnership and Eklat De Rire has won his last three starts, the latest coming at Naas when making all to hold off Escaria Ten.
