RACE four on day three is the Stayers Hurdle or what was the World Hurdle but was originally the Stayers Hurdle. Last year we got a good antepost bet in Thistlecrack at 20-1.
Stayers Hurdle
Unowhatimeanharry – Harry Fry 5-4 10bet
Antepost favourite for a while now and hasn’t done anything wrong. Unbeaten since November 2015 Unowhatimeanharry won last year's Albert Bartlett at the festival and with three good wins this season he is a worthy favourite.
Vroum Vroum Mag – Willie Mullins 5-1 10bet
I think there are seven races at the festival where she could run in and have a serious chance in them all. She is very versatile but as to which race she goes for is anyone’s guess, we can now rule her out going chasing because of the injuries to the Rich Ricci horses so it’s really Stayers Hurdle, Champion Hurdle or Mares Hurdle for this horse.
If Limini goes for the Champion Hurdle then it’s almost certain that Vroum Vroum Mag will go the Mares Hurdle route. But if you want a bet for her in this race it is NRNB so nothing to lose.
Jezki – Mrs J Harrington 7-1 10bet
Also in the Champion Hurdle but after his last run I can’t fancy him for either race. I know one race doesn’t define a horse's chances but there was nothing much to his previous run at Navan.
Camping Ground – Gary Moore 18-1 10bet
I was a big fan of this horse a couple of years ago but he never really lived up to my high expectations. But his last run after changing stables was very impressive as beat a few good horses in Different Gravey, L’ami Serge and Le Rocher. He was also giving them all weight that day as well as a 29 length beating, he could also go in the Coral Cup and would have a decent chance in either if being able to replicate his last run.
